2014 Land Rover Discovery Vision Concept

Land Rover recently revealed their latest Discovery Concept. This is the vision of the automaker’s future line of its Discovery cars; the very first model is expected in the year 2015.

The 2014 Land Rover Discovery Vision concept alludes to its unique lineage with great design elements that include alpine lights and stepped roof. Greater attention has been given to this SUV that creates versatility combined with a compelling design.
Engine & Performance

The Discovery Vision Concept gets a new V6 engine 3.0 liter engine. Power output has been raised to 208 horsepower while torque is now 385 lbs ft.

A brand new 8-speed ZF automatic transmission replaces the old 6-speed gearbox. This sends power to all the 4 wheels via the Land Rover’s full-time 4-wheel drive system.


This SUV retains the compact look with carefully designed elements that actually smooth out all lines across the car’s exterior, but still retain the distinct Discovery cues such as alpine windows.

All the headlamps are paired with the traditional LED lights and laser diodes; this emits a pure, even beam of light. This helps in adding about 300 meters viewing distance.

The profile of this concept is definitely Land Rover, with one high belt line running seamlessly across the coach-style doors. The car’s doors are operated via a gesture, so no need for any handles; you just swipe to get the doors unlocked.

The SUV is painted in a Tribeca Grey finish and rides on 23-inch alloy wheels with a bright silver finish.



The interior is not only spacious but also versatile with a wide array of unique features. The multi-lifestyle versatility has been epitomized by highly reconfigurable seating.

Inside, a touch screen menu that can be used to fold seats flat or to slide them forward or backward has been incorporated. Once the seats are folded, the car can simply be converted from a standard 7-seat to a 6-seat, 5-seat or a 4-seat ‘limousine’ mode.

A detachable, carry-away stroller-style luggage is integrated into the car doors. This theme of versatility continues with materials used inside the cabin, which has been finished in 2 types of washable water and oil repellant leather that can be cleaned in a few seconds.

To create the warm atmosphere, there are wood veneer of the floor and the instrument panel.

2014 Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept

Is “The Bug” about to get another big brother?

That is a possibility with the introduction of the 2014 Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept, unveiled at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show in April.

It’s not quite as tall as the Jetta, though wider than the CC. This provides for a sleeker, sportier appearance.

If the midsize coupe makes it to the production line, it is expected to compete with the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA- Class among others.


Engine & Performance

Under the hood, the New Midsize Coupe Concept is expected to be equipped with a 2.0 Liter, Inline 4 Turbo, capable of generating 217 horsepower.

It is front wheel drive paired with a 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission.

You can expect 34 mpg on the highway while accelerating from 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds topping out at a speed of 152 mph. Not bad for a coupe.



A full profile set of LED headlamps accentuate the front of the 4 door 2014 Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept Car.

The chrome grille is sharp and the front fenders meet the hood seamlessly.

From the side, the first thing you may notice are the aluminum, black and red 20 inch wheels.
A predominant body line runs along the cars bottom from the front fender to the rear door handles and continues above the rear fenders.

The taillights have a strong 3 dimensional affect and the backend features the VW emblem squarely in the center.


Inside the 2014 Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept you will see a much more stylish approach than that of the average VW.

It has Piano Black trim around dual analog gauges and a large infotainment screen stands out above the center stack.

The shift knob is black and chrome and the leather seats are white. Matching white door panels are complemented with wood grain.

It should sell for in the range of $28,000. At that price point, with its coupe styled roof line, diminutive length and broad track, it just might create quite a stir in the U.S.

2015 Bentley Continental GT3-R

Inspired by the triumphant Continental GT3 race car, the new 2015 Bentley Continental GT3-R is an ultra-dynamic, engaging and rare Grand Tourer that adds a new dimension to Bentley’s signature combination of luxury and performance and promises an awe-inspiring and sophisticated drive experience.

This limited-edition two-seater GT will be hand-built at Bentley’s Crewe Assembly plant in England, with the finishing touches at the British automaker’s Motorsport division.

The 2015 Continental GT3-R is propelled by the high-performance, track-proven 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine that generates 572 horsepower (580 PS) at 6,000 rpm and 516 lb ft (700 Nm) of torque.

2014 Mercedes-Benz Coupe SUV Concept

It appears Mercedes-Benz has decided to make a move toward a coupe SUV version in a market controlled for some time by the BMW X6.

The 2014 Mercedes-Benz Coupe SUV Concept was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show in April 2014. It is billed as a compliment to the M- Class. It is believed the vehicle may be in production by 2015.
Engine & Performance

Although not yet officially announced, speculation would have a 4.6 Liter, twin turbo V8 under the hood. This would provide the SUV with 402 horsepower.

An optional engine may be the 5.5 liter version supplying 518 horses.


The Mercedes-Benz Coupe SUV Concept has a forceful appearance beginning with an almost intimidating front fascia. The large grille features the prestigious Mercedes logo then has a square design overall.

The profile stands tall atop its immense 22″ wheels. The dual body lines begin on the front fender and rises towards the rear.
The precipitously vertical front windshield allows the roof to meet the top of the tailgate with an integrated rear spoiler.

The LED taillights begin well into the rear fender before wrapping around to the backend.
Chrome tipped exhausts are also nicely integrated into the rear bumper.


The interior is simple and elegant. The window and door controls are mounted high on the door panel sill for easy manipulation and the seats come in fine leather.

The steering wheel is made of wood grain with leather grips.
An infotainment screen sits above the center stack with system controls readily available beneath it and in front of the dual armrest center console.

The coupe styled SUV is expected to compete with the X6 as well as the Porsche Cayenne.

2015 Audi R8 LMX Limited Edition

The 2015 Audi R8 LMX is a limited-edition coupe, the first production vehicle in the world featuring laser high beam lights.

Only 99 of these will be produced by Audi, a pioneer in innovative automotive lighting technologies.

Renowned for using racing in order to test brand-new, advanced technologies destined for mass production, Audi will premiere on June 14 at the 24 Hour of Le Mans its all-new R18 e-tron quattro equipped with a combination of laser high beams and LED headlights.

This supercar boasts of aerodynamic brilliance and performance engineered to perfection is expected to be available by the summer of 2014, it will not be available in the US market.

Engine & Performance

The mid-mounted, high-revving 5.2-liter V10 engine of the R8 LMX produces 570 horsepower and 398 lbs-feet of torque.

This all-new coupe goes from 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds. The top speed has been clocked at 199 mph. Combined fuel consumption is at 18 mpg (12.9 liters /100 km).

The seven-speed S tronic transmission transfers the power and excitement onto this all-wheel drive vehicle.

One of the most distinctive aspects that stand out in the 2015 R8 LMX is the carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP), featuring a matte finish, incorporated with the one-on-one side blades, the diffuser and rear wing, the cover of the engine compartment, the front spoiler lip and the flicks on the sides.

The visual impact of R8 LMX is enhanced by the exclusive Audi paint finish known as Ara Blue, it promotes a crystal effect. Titanium gray finishes are used on the outlet grille at the rear and the Single frame grille.

Each laser module includes four laser diodes with a diameter of 300 micrometers, which generate a blue laser beam with a 450-nanometer wavelength. The range of the laser-generated cone of light is twice the range of all-LED headlights.


The black interior is elegantly complemented with posh blue accents showcased in the Sepang Blue stitching and Ara Blue backrests covers. The inlays in the doors, the covers of the parking brake lever and the center tunnel console incorporate matte carbon.

Black Fine Nappa leather featuring Sepang Blue diamond pattern adorns the folding bucket seats, the door trim panels as well as the knee pads and the selector lever for the S tronic.

Illuminated aluminum inlays with the limited-edition number are incorporated into the carbon sill trims. The headlining is finished in black Alcantara.
