This Bavarian mid-engine sports car gets its name from the Le Mans prototype R8. The sports car since 2006 has been produced by Quattro GmbH.

Engine & Performance

The R8 has gone through various changes to make it more powerful than the standard model, it boasts of 610 horsepower. This is a major improvement from the 525 horsepower output made by the base model.

Various modifications on the engine have made this possible. They have include a remapped ECU and a titanium flip controlled exhaust system, the exhaust system is made Akrapovic, an authority in exhaust systems.

It also includes ducts for cooling the brakes using “Performance Friction Brakes”. These ducts are keep the brakes cool which are important racing.

Exterior

The green Racing One Audi R8 at a glance projects a majestic and sporty look. Reports show that the rebuilding costs around 26,000 Euros.

Cam Shaft Kempen is responsible for making the eye catching stickers. The car rests on semi-slick tires and also wears a livery which is made by CamShaft.

Interior

Technically, Racing One’s R8 V10 is a track car which has been equipped with high-performance pads made by Performance Friction Brakes and 2-way MDS dampers by Bilstein Motorsport.

The interior of the Racing One Audi R8 has also undergone modifications. It features sport bucket seats with 6-point belts, braces and a fire extinguisher in case of an emergency. The safety of the driver and his passengers has been considered in the modification.

Another great addition is the video recordings from two cameras which tape all that you experience with data recording which can be used for later analysis via a CAN bus.

The 2014 Audi RS Q3 becomes the first RS model to join the highly successful “Q” line from the giant German automaker.

This RS Q3 combines the qualities needed for everyday life to go with a dynamic driving experience.

Waiting under the hood of the Audi RS Q3 is a 2.5 liter, 5 cylinder turbo, offering up to 310 horsepower at 309 lbs ft of torque.

With technological advances that coincide with the accelerator and exhaust systems, the new Q3 has 3 distinct driving modes; dynamic, comfort, or auto. Audi’s Quattro all wheel drive system is part of the 7 speed S tronic transmission. For the first time, this engine features a start-stop system.

Capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 5.5 seconds to go with a top speed of 155 mph. Power and efficiency is combined, delivering a combined 27 mpg in city and highway driving.

Exterior

The RS Q3 shares the dynamic look of other recently released RS models.

The lower front bumper stands out through the help of large air intakes on either side of the honeycomb style mesh grille.

The side profile has understated characteristics, to go with its subtle contours front to rear. Matte aluminum trim is present around the windows.

The rear features a tailgate mounted spoiler and a good looking and functional rear diffuser.

Interior

Aluminum inserts are obvious in the interior of the Audi RS Q3. The leather seats are stitched in a diamond quilted pattern which contrasts nicely with the surrounding white stitching.

Like other RS models, the gray background instrument gauges have white scales and red needles. A MMI/driver information screen pops up from the top of the dashboard. With the rear seats up, you make room for square feet of cargo space.

In a press release from by Mansory Tuning, a new custom version of the Aventador has been assembled.

The 2013 Mansory Lamborghini Aventador Carbonado brings several improvements meant to reduce weight, tweak the exterior, resulting in improved performance.

The Swiss company used their custom carbon fiber weave for the body as a world first.

Engine

The standard version of the car has a total output of 700 horsepower. Mansory reworked the 6.5 liter engine replacing most of the parts with ultra-durable material.

Paired with a new twin turbo system, the car is capable generating 1250 horsepower with its V12 configuration.

Performance

Even if no work has been done on the suspension and transmission, the new Aventador presented by Mansory gives you improved driving and handling feel.

Because of its reworked body, the aerodynamics and airflow have been improved. This tweak is also complemented by the reduced body weight due to the carbon fiber elements.

Exterior

The front skirt has been redesigned for improved air intake and ventilation at the front near the radiator. Looking at the car from the front, the Lamborghini had its sides extended by 40 millimeters near the front and 50 millimeters to the rear which has been paired with new side skirts.

The supercar now looks wider than the standard model. Most of the exterior parts that have been replaced are now made of carbon fiber.

Interior

The Mansory version of the Aventador has an all leather interior with sports seats. The color theme are in shades of black with white elements on the seats, steering wheel, pedals and doors.

Also, a white trim line now crosses the dashboard from one side to the other. Carbon elements have been added on the doors and honeycomb-like textures have been used on the seats.

Mansory managed to take the standard version of the Aventador and improve on it. With carbon fiber upgrades, an additional 550 horsepower, and custom interior, the 2013 Mansory Lamborghini Aventador Carbonado has become an even more intimidating supercar.

Launched in 2010, the Mercedes-Benz SLS series has been tackled with by multiple car tuning companies.

The German company mcchip-dkr recently released their upgrade kit in the 2013 mcchip-dkr Mercedes-Benz SLS 63 AMG MC700, boosting its horsepower without changes to the exterior.

Their performance enhancing pack includes various exhaust tweaks, a compressor, and other minor changes.

Engine

The performance upgrade of the car was done in two stages. mcchip-dkr’s engineers first installed the new MC700 pure compressor and a stage 3 software upgrade.

A high-end exhaust system has also been added which, when combined with the compressor, allows for a performance boost that takes the 6.2 liter V8 engine to reach a total 680 horsepower.

The second stage of the upgrade involves additional sports catalyzer’s and a stage 4 software upgrade, adding an extra 26 horsepower, giving it a total maximum of 706 horsepower.

The transmission remains untouched, being controlled by the standard 7-speed dual-clutch semi-automatic gearbox.

Performance

The added power boost does not significantly affect the driving and handling feel. Steering is just as crisp and responsive as ever. With enough road grip, the rear of the car reduces slips at tight corners at high speeds.

Exterior

The presentation model for the performance kit did not include any exterior changes. mcchip-dkr used the swing door version to test their upgrade pack.

Interior

Just like with the exterior, no changes were done to the interior. The Mercedes-Benz SLS 63 AMG MC700 features stock interior options.

mcchip-dkr offers the two stages of the upgrade kits separately. Customers can purchase the first one and skip to the second or get them both and get the maximum possible 706 HP from the German tuner’s performance-enhancing package.

With no changes done to the exterior and the interior, the upgraded version of the SLS AMG looks no different. It is only when the engine of the car is turned on, that the upgrade is obvious.

A few days before the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Lotus announced that they would blow the top off at the show.

Most people thought that the convertible version of the Lotus Evora would be unveiled.

They were wrong, instead, Lotus unveiled their fastest roadster ever, the 2013 Lotus Exige S Roadster.

Based on new Exige S, this roadster is powered by the same supercharged 3.5 liter V6 engine. The engine delivers a total of 354 horsepower and a torque of about 295 lb ft.

It sprints from zero to 60 mph in only 3.8 seconds and up to 100 mph only 8.5 seconds. Since this car is a Roadster, safety precautions have been taken that limits its top speed to 145 mph. This makes this car, the next big thing to look out for.

This vehicle also comes with 2 different suspension settings. Standard setting is meant for an active driving experience best suited to the public roads. The other option is developed for the track use.

Exterior

The exterior is almost identical to the coupe model. This means the new front sprinter eliminates all the broken lines that were on the previous model.

The coupes rear spoiler have also been eliminated to provide room for a factory-fitted soft top for the roof’s storage as the driver enjoys a breezy drive. The roof is light in weight and easy to retract up and down.

Interior

Inside, this vehicle is a lesson in stylish minimalism plus functionality. The driver can actually specify for comfort an enhanced plush interior, or even go for a stripped down, sporty interior.
