A few days before the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Lotus announced that they would blow the top off at the show.
Most people thought that the convertible version of the Lotus Evora would be unveiled.
They were wrong, instead, Lotus unveiled their fastest roadster ever, the 2013 Lotus Exige S Roadster.

Engine
Based on new Exige S, this roadster is powered by the same supercharged 3.5 liter V6 engine. The engine delivers a total of 354 horsepower and a torque of about 295 lb ft.
It sprints from zero to 60 mph in only 3.8 seconds and up to 100 mph only 8.5 seconds. Since this car is a Roadster, safety precautions have been taken that limits its top speed to 145 mph. This makes this car, the next big thing to look out for.
Lotus’s 6-speed “close ratio” gearbox comes standard, also a paddle-shifter option is available based on your preference. The paddle-shifter means you don’t have to take your hands off your wheel as you drive. This also prevents errors during the shifting.
Performance
This vehicle also comes with 2 different suspension settings. Standard setting is meant for an active driving experience best suited to the public roads. The other option is developed for the track use.
Exterior
The exterior is almost identical to the coupe model. This means the new front sprinter eliminates all the broken lines that were on the previous model.
The coupes rear spoiler have also been eliminated to provide room for a factory-fitted soft top for the roof’s storage as the driver enjoys a breezy drive. The roof is light in weight and easy to retract up and down.
Interior
Inside, this vehicle is a lesson in stylish minimalism plus functionality. The driver can actually specify for comfort an enhanced plush interior, or even go for a stripped down, sporty interior.
