The Ford Motor Company is expanding its line of the already popular F-150 pickup trucks. The 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor will be available in the fall. It is the first sports truck to feature the Ford trademark EcoBoost system which will allow for high performance while limiting fuel consumption.

In essence, this vehicle replaces the “Lightning” model which has been discontinued. The “Tremor” will feature 2 fewer cylinders and add 2 turbos.

Engine & Performance

Under the hood of the 2014 F-150 Tremor is a 3.5 liter V6 EcoBoost engine that generates 365 horsepower. This engine also offers twin independent variable camshaft timing which boosts its performance while at the same time conserving fuel.

While this engine is the same EcoBoost powertrain offered as an option on other F-150’s, the secret to the Tremor is in the rear. A 4.10 axle ratio is standard, unlike the other F-150 models. This feature, coupled with an electronic locking differential (available on both 2 and 4 wheel drive) greatly improves the trucks initial traction.

It is as quick as you need a pickup to be, accelerating from 0-60MPH in 7.9 seconds with a top speed of 130MPH.

Exterior

The Ford F-150 Tremor will be offered with only a regular cab and short wheelbase. This lends itself well to its sporty look.

An FX Appearance Package is standard which is made up of flat black trim accents with red lettering contained within black badges and additional graphics on the body as well. The Tremor sits atop 20 inch flat black wheels that complete the exterior upgrades.

Interior

Inside the F-150 Tremor you will find black leather seats accentuated with red perforations and piping. Alcantara seat inserts are also present adding to its style and texture.

Bucket seats with a flow through the center console offered exclusively with the Tremor version of the regular cab in Ford trucks. Even the steering wheel includes red stitching all the way around.

The base engine features on the Mazda 3 will be a SkyActiv 2.0 liter four cylinder unit producing 155 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. The fuel economy has not yet been released but it is expected that the Mazda 3 engine will vary from the previous version.

There is also a 2.5 four-cylinder engine which will be optional which is borrowed from the CX-5 and Mazda6. The 2.5 liter engine comes with 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque. Both engines come with a six-speed automatic or a six-speed manual transmission.

Interior

The interior features a driver oriented environment that makes the driver feel at one with the car. It is comfortable and roomy for both the passenger and the driver. The Active Driving Display shows the vehicle’s speed and other important navigation information on a panel.

The instrument cluster is a centrally positioned analog gauge with wing shaped digital displays surrounding it. There is a red ring around the central gauge that starts to pulsate when the driver opens the door. When the ignition is turned on the Active Driving Display goes into position.

The shift knob is covered with satin-chrome plating and leather so as to highlight a sporty appearance. The center console has a high quality appearance as it is finished with a metallic look contrasted against piano black. The car’s interior is available in black or white leather and two types of fabrics both in black or sand.

Exterior

The exterior design is made to complement the KODO design. It has large wheels that are highlighted by flared fenders that create a strong and wide view. The wing appears to have been chiseled from solid metal so as to achieve a sculpted finish.

So as to emphasize on sleekness the headlamps are separated from the turn signals which are in turn positioned above the fog lamps.

The cabin is positioned on the rear of the body and therefore it rises dramatically toward the rear. This creates a sense of speed and agility. It comes in seven colors that highlight the emotional exterior design.

When seeing the 2014 BMW 4-Series Coupe for the first time, the phrase “sporty elegance” comes to mind.

The vehicle is a smaller version of the BMW Series-6.

Aside from that it also takes some elements from the 3 Series sedan. Production began July 2013 and for you convertible fans, your model should be available soon.

In the United States, the 2014 BMW 4-Series Coupe offers 2 engine choices, the 428i and 435i. The former is a 2.0L, turbocharged 4 cylinder generating 240 horsepower. The latter, a 3.0 Liter inline 6 is twin turbocharged and capable of 300 horsepower.

The 428i is paired with a the basic 8 speed automatic transmission, while the 435i is mated to either the same 8 speed auto or a 6 speed manual transmission. The 435i can go from 0-60 mph in 5 seconds with a top speed of 155.

Both engines are available with BMW’s “xDrive” all wheel drive option.

Exterior

The BMW 4-Series Coupe is wider and longer than the Series 3. It sits lower to the ground. The double kidney grille remains, along with the twin circular headlight configuration.

A large air intake in the front apron is coupled with the air breathers located behind the front fenders which are both sharp and functional. The side profile of the 4-Series is similar to that of the Series 6. In fact, they are almost identical.

Around back you will see the signature BMW L-shaped taillights and a newly designed rear spoiler. There are some minor exterior differences based on whether you purchase the Sport, Luxury or M Sport package.

Interior

The interior of the 2014 4-Series Coupe is ergonomically designed for the driver. All of the controls are placed within easy access.

For a coupe this size, the rear seating is also designed well with a bench seat essentially molded into 2 separate seats. Each has their own head restraints and arm rests.

The rear seats can also be manipulated by a ratio of 40:20:40 to allow added cargo space without eliminating the entire seating area. As with the exterior, there are small changes to the inside that go with specific package options.

Citroen just revealed its new 2014 Grand C4 Picasso. Its new design has more interior space than ever before without increasing its external dimensions.

The Grand C4 Picasso is different from the five seat model with its restyled front bumper and roof rails. The model is capable of carrying as many as seven with its third row with the use of two folding seats.

Three diesel engines are available right now, the e-HDi 90 (74.3 mpg), e-HDi 115 (70.6 mpg), and the BlueHDi 150.

Citroen announced that all engines are available with a six speed (Efficient Tronic Gearbox) automated manual or the six speed traditional manual. All diesel powered models come with the standard Stop & Start technology.

Exterior

Using the EMP2 platform, the Grand C4 Picasso has the same length and width as the 2013 model. The difference is that it is 50 millimeters lower to go with a longer wheelbase.

The platform of the 2014 C4 Picasso combines steel and aluminum. The rear floor is made of plastic composite, and the wraparound plastic tailgate has helped reduced its overall weight by 110 kilograms.
