Used BMW Z8

BMW Z8 front viewThe BMW Z8 is a limited-production car with less than 6,000 units built between 2000 and 2003, with half going to the US market. A concept car called the Z07 designed by Henrik Fisker at DesignworksUSA, a BMW unit in Southern California, was the inspiration behind the production of the Z8. The Z07 was a sensation in the 1997 Tokyo auto show, eventually prompting manufacturing of the BMW Z8.

Among the Z8’s outstanding features is an all-aluminum chassis and body. The car is powered by a 5.0 L (4941 cc) 32-valve V8 engine, capable of 400 hp (294 kW) and delivering torque of 500 N-m (363 lb-ft). Built by BMW’s Motorsport unit, the engine is installed behind the front axle which allows 50/50 weight distribution. Its acceleration has been recorded at an astounding 0–100 km/h (0–62.5 mph) in 4.7 seconds. BMW Z8 top speed, needless to say, is as impressive at 249 km/h (155 mph).
