The GTC Speed consists of a twin turbocharged W12 engine that produces an output power of about 600bhp and develops a torque of about 553 lb-ft. The car attains a top speed of 200 mph when the roof of the car is closed; it also attains a top speed of about 195 mph when the roof is open. The W12 engine is considered as the strongest 12-cylinder engine with four camshafts and 48 valves. The power is passed through the 6-speed automatic transmission. The 6-speed transmission can be operated in two modes, Sport and Drive and also used as a clutchless manual where the changing of gears can be done sequentially.

The suspension is decreased by 10mm to the front and 15mm to the back for better handling. The wheels are of 9.5J x 20 inch alloy wheels and fitted with 275/35 ZR20 Pirelli Pzero tires that safer driving and superior grip.

Cruise control system

2008 Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 Strada

The 2008 Reiter Engineering Gallardo GT3 is a racecar which contains a carbon fiber body, side skirts, large rear wing, front splitter and front fenders. This street-legal version of the GT3 racecar can accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.9 secs and reach a top speed 192 mph.

The weight has been reduced by introducing an exhaust system at the middle with an additional 10hp. The wheels are of 19-inches enclosed with Michelin Pilot Spot II tires. The interiors of the car are made of carbon fiber that is covered with leather.

Porsche 917 and Its 40 Years History

The Porsche 917 is a race car which has won at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the year 1970 and 1971. The car is powered by a 912 flat-12 engine about 4.5, 4.9 and 5 litre variants, the Porsche long tailed version attains a speed of 0-62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.5 seconds and has atop speed of about 254 mph (409 km/h).

Porsche 917

The car was unveiled 40 years ago at Geneva International Motor Show, which was underestimated when it was introduced as a sports car. The car later became one of the best racing and fastest car on the track. The car was launched in the year 1968 under the guidance of Ferdinand Piech which was fully completed in the year 1969. Also, in this year, it marked the racing debut of the Porsche 917 in a 1000km race that was held at Osterreichring.

Construction
The car contains an air cooled 4.5 litre flat-12 engine along with 4 ratio transaxle. The seat and the engine are advanced at the chassis front so that the feet of the driver are on the front wheel axle. The Porsche is known for its technology and less weight, where the first 12-cylinder engine components are made of magnesium, titanium and exotic alloys, which adds a lesser weight to the car. In addition, the gear shift knob is made of Balsa wood in order to reduce weight.

Racing history
1969
The year 1969 marked the debut of Porsche 917, where the car was tested. During the testing process the lap time was set at 3:42.5 but Porsche managed to attain the lap at 3:41.9. The long tail version also set a record of 3:37.1 the fastest lap. It also participated in several races but the 917 had seen no success, later the first championship was won at the 500km Zeltweg.

1970
In the 1970 Porsche 917 has won nine championships out of ten races.

1971
After its success in the year 1970, the Porsche 917 dominated in the year 1971 winning eight out of ten races. It also won the 24 hours Le Mans race, which was a world record that recorded the average speed of about 222km/h where 5,335 km were driven which is a world record to the present day.

1981
Porsche appeared in the Le Mans race once again, but the car was destroyed in a collision that was held after 6 hours of the race.

In the present days, the Porsche 917 is considered a legendary car. The car has nominated as the “Greatest Racing Car in History” by “Motor Sport”, British trade magazine.

2010 Mercedes-Benz E63

Mercedes-Benz presents the new 2010 E63 AMG with an advanced technology. The sports car is one of the high performance cars among the Mercedes which is known for its latest technology, dazzling performance, which is being transferred from the previous models.

The ride suspensions are newly developed which are electronically controlled. The suspensions are modified, including the interior and exterior designs. The driving assistance systems have been modified which assures a safety driving and the fuel consumption has been decreased by 12% in the new E 63.

The engine in the new E 63 is an AMG 6.3 liter V8, which produces an output of about 465 lb-ft torque and 518 horsepower, the gearbox is about 7 speed automatic sports transmission where this transmission returns the conservative torque converter by the use of multiple discs wet starting clutch. The transmission is set on four driving modes which are
• C (Controlled Efficiency)
• M (Manual)
• S (Sports)
• S+ (Sports Plus)

These modes can be selected by the electronic switch that is provided in the AMG Drive Unit. In the M (Manual) mode, the gears can be shifted for 100 milliseconds. Also, the gears can be smoothly shifted in the fuel efficient driving mode.

Interiors and exteriors
The AMG sports seats are electrically adjustable where the seats are made of leather which is available in three colors.

Power steering
The power steering is set in a ratio of about 14:1, which is 22% quicker than the previous models.

2010 Audi R8 V10

For the year 2010, Audi has launched a new sports version R8 V10 which comes with a 5.2 liter 10-cylinder engine, which produces 525 hp and a torque output of about 391 lb-ft. The body of the car is of less weight which is made of aluminum, the modern LED headlights and the stunning design gives a tough competition to the other cars with a breathtaking performance.

The car delivers an output power of about 100.9hp for each liter of displacement where each hp has to push 3.09 kgs of weight; this is due to the reason that the cars gearbox consists of 6 manual speed transmissions that weighs about 1,620 kgs. These transmissions are a standard equipment where the gears can be shifted smooth and easily. The R-tronic mode in the transmission is an option where the car can achieve a maximum speed of 200 km/h in just 8.1 seconds.

The 10-cylinder engine comprises of a dry sump lubrication at which the engine can be mounted low inside the chassis. The cylinder is located at an angle of 90 degrees, the pistons are made of aluminum and the rods are made of steel.

The brakes are provided with eight pistons at the front and four at the back, the front disc brakes have a diameter of about 15 inches and 14 inches at the back discs. These ceramic discs are very less in weight and have a life up to 300,000 kms. In addition, deceleration is supplied through a muscular braking system.
