Engine

The GranCabrio comes with a naturally aspirated 4.7-liter V8 engine that generates 460 horsepower and a torque of 384 pounds-feet. The state of the art engine incorporates the latest technological developments in building techniques and software for electronic control.

When the ‘Speed’ button is pressed, the powerful engine accelerates the car from zero to 60 in just 4.8 seconds, with a top speed of 185 mph.

Exterior

The front bumper has been redesigned and gives a clear profile of speed and power. It helps improve road handling, and directs the airflow around the front brakes to provide additional cooling. The lighting units retain their shape from the previous model but an all-new LED system is now used for the daytime running lights.

At the rear, the taillights are now less wide, and are covered in a darker color. The appearance of the car when seen from the rear also conveys the sportiness of the car, with the rear diffuser having integrated twin exhausts in black.

Interior

New ergonomic design features have been used on the inside for both front and rear seats. The steering wheel has also been given a new design, with a flattened rim, giving a better grip for sports driving.

The 2013 Maserati GranCabrio Sport designers have replaced the wood inlays and wood trim with carbon fiber pieces.

Transmission

The six-speed, automatic transmission is based on that used in the GranTurismo. Torque is transmitted to the limited slip differential via a steel crankshaft.

2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 45th Anniversary

The 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 45th Anniversary is a limited edition car whose target market is wealthy collectors of motor racing vehicles.

The cars will be built at Affalterbach, a municipality in Southern Germany, it is where the headquarters of Mercedes Benz-AMG is located. Production of this anniversary edition will be limited to five cars, each will be built by hand.

Bernt Schneider

Race driver Bernt Schneider is closely involved with the project and will personally sign a certificate of exclusivity on each car. Schneider won the DTM championship five times and was world champion in FIA GT racing in 1995 before joining Mercedes-AMG where he works as an instructor, test driver and an ambassador for the Mercedes-AMG brand.

Each buyer will take delivery of his or her 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 45th Anniversary car at Affalterbach, and will receive personal instruction in the car from Schneider himself. The five new owners will be provided with driver training at AMG’s driving academy.

Even though these cars cost over half a million dollars, the chance to own such a prestigious vehicle and receive tutoring from such an iconic figure is bound to attract a lot of interest.

Seating

The car is built for the racetrack rather than the road, but Mercedes-AMG has added a passenger seat to the anniversary model. Apart from that, the interior is designed for racing functionality rather than a luxury driving experience. Both the steering wheel and the six point safety harnesses have silver trims. Each car’s serial number is shown on badges affixed to the seat backs and the central console.

The 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 45th Anniversary car utilized a new painting technology that the company refers to as “magno graphite.” This is used extensively on the car’s body, and also on the rollover safety cage and the wheels.

Graphics displaying the 45th anniversary message are displayed on the doors. The graphics are not painted on. Instead, the underlying carbon fiber used to build it follows the contour of the message.

Engine

The G-Power BMW 1M Coupe features a 4.0L V8 engine that produces 435 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 435 lb-ft of torque at 1,500 rpm. Although the general output is remarkable, it is the execution of this output which can be said to be so outstanding. The supercharger is perfectly tuned to generate 40% extra torque between 5000 rpm and the car’s maximum 8,300 rpm.

This power plant is connected to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox, enabling the 1M Coupe to reach 136.7 mph in 12.7 seconds and achieve a maximum speed of 205.05 mph. This car is brought to a halt though a G-Power brake system, which uses 15.59-inch carbon-ceramic brake discs up front.

Exterior & Interior

The exterior, which comes with a deep bronze coat, features 20-inch G-Power Silverstone wheels wrapped with Michelin tires. The rear boot lip and the hood are made of carbon fiber material with the boot boasting vent openings and M3 design.

The interior receives some tweaks too, adding draping layers of Alcantara and premium leather, while the cushions have been reshaped to give the seats more style and grip. The 1M Coupe boasts a 2-tone arrangement of white and bronze, giving the interior an outstanding contrast that goes perfectly well with the external color.

In general, it can be said that G-power did an excellent job by taking an already stylish car and tweaking it to a classier car. Although the exterior did not receive many modifications, the interior has been well tweaked to compensate for that. The increased power output will also put this car a step further from its closest rivals.

The CLS 6.3 Yachting is powered by a 5.5L Bi-turbo power train that produces 625 horsepower and 634 lbs-ft of torque. This power enables the 6.3 Yachting to achieve a top speed of 186 mph. The Biturbo transforms the Yachting from just a luxury sports saloon to a real performance car.

This car comes with a suspension lowering module, in-house limited slip-differential, and high performance brakes to improve its overall performance.
