Chevrolet Corvette C2

The Chevrolet Corvette C2 is a sports car that has been manufactured by Chevrolet from 1963-1967.

The Corvette C2 consisted of a 327 in³ V8 small block engine that delivered an output power of 360 hp and later in the year 1964, it was improved to 375 hp. In the year 1965, a new 396 in³ 6.5 L V8 engine was introduced, which delivered an output power of 425 hp and this engine also marked the end of Rochester fuel injection system due to its high cost.

Chevrolet Corvette C3

The Chevrolet Corvette C3 is a sports car that has been manufactured by Chevrolet between 1968-1982.

During its period, the Corvette C3 is considered as one of America most valuable car and the third largest running car in the Corvettes series. The car was designed by Larry Shinoda, an automotive designer who also designed the Ford Mustang.

The first Corvette C3 consisted of a 350 in³ 5.7 L V8 engine that delivered an output power of 430 hp and it was priced at $4,700. In the year 1970, the car contained an enlarged engine of 454 in³ 7.4 L Big-Block V8 engines that delivered an output power of 390 hp.

Also, over the years, powerglide automatic transmission in 1968, three speed manual and four speed manual transmission in 1970, emission controls in 1971, removable rear window in 1972, radial tires, plastic front bumpers and chrome rear bumpers in 1973, optional alloy wheels in 1976, Indy 500 Pace Cars edition in 1978 and L83 cross-fire fuel-injected engine have been introduced in the Corvette C3 series.

Collector Version
The Collector Version was introduced in the year 1982 that contained a TBI fuel injected engine which delivered an output power of 200hp, also aluminum wheels were placed, and special color was applied. A total of 6,759 Collector Version has been launched at a starting price of $22,537.59.

Indianapolis 500 Pace Cars
This version was launched for the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The car consisted of a rear spoiler, stickers on the rear fender wells and tinted glass t-tops. Chevrolet first thought of manufacturing 300 cars in this version, but due to its demand, a total of 6,502 cars have been manufactured.

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Car

After the presentation at the Auto Salon in Detroit of the Prototype X Concept, which was predicting the series production, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has revealed the Lancer Evolution Model.
For the American market, Mitsubishi has decided that the lancer model should be called “Galant Fortis”(which in Latin means powerful, bold, brave). This is part of the new Sedan auto class, with a higher level of safety, performance a comfort, all these being adopted at international level. These characteristics include an extremely rigid platform which is behaving very well in eventual accidents, a new 2 liter engine with aluminium cylinders that offers a higher power and a medium consumption of fuel, an exterior that combines sportiness with elegance and a lot of interior space, very well distributed.The developing of the concept for the new “Lancer Evolution X” has predicted the new trend in Sedan vehicles with integral traction, that have a very good handling and full safety at high speed. The new model comes with the Super All Wheel Control function that integrates systems for the control of traction, handling, a great management for the brake control on all 4 wheels, all these bringing the car attitude and very good stability on the roads.Another new technology of the people at Mitsubishi Motors is the extremely performant 2.0 liter engine, turbo, very light, with the system MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing and lift Electronic Control System), which has aluminium cylinders, all these characteristics being adapted to a manual gear box in six speeds which is essential for the resulted performance and fuel economy.The new Lancer Evolution will be available for sale in North America in the first quarter of 2008.

Alfa Romeo 147

The Alfa Romeo 147 is manufactured by Alfa Romeo Automobiles in the year 2000, which continues to the present day. It is a small car which was also listed as the “European Car of the Year” in the year 2001.

The Alfa Romeo was designed by Wolfgang Egger, a German car designer and Walter de’Silva an Italian car designer. The outer looks of the car is a highlight which received a number of awards.

2003 Alfa Romeo 147 GTA

In the year 2002, a high performance 147 GTA model has been launched as a competitor to BMW 130i, Renault Megane RS, Audi S3 and Volkswagen Golf R32. It consisted of a 3.2 V6 engine with 6-speed manual transmission. It delivered an output power of 247 hp and the top speed is 153 mph.

A number of modifications were done to the Alfa Romeo 147 in the year 2004 which included the new headlights and rear lights, front grille and interiors. Also, the powerful engine and suspensions has been used.

2007 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione

The 2007 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione was first displayed at the Paris Motor Show in the year 2006.

Engine
The 8C Competizione consists of an 8 cylinder 4.7 engine with a capacity of 4691 cc that delivers 470 Nm at 4750 rpm and output power of 450 bhp at 7000 rpm. The cylinder cooling system and internal fluid movements are designed to attain high permeability and intake load cooling.

The engine and cylinder heads are made of aluminum alloys and it is fitted with five bearings to make sure the engine structure is hard.

Body Structure
The car is of less weight which makes it a high performance vehicle. The body of the car is made of carbon fiber in order to decrease the weight for better handling.
