Alfa Romeo GTA

The Alfa Romeo GTA is a sports car manufactured by Alfa Romeo Automobiles in between the years 1965-1971.

The GTA is the predecessor of Giulietta and it was first named as Series 105 and later it was considered as GTA. It consists of aluminum panels, plastic windows, unique door handles, and interior trim of less weight and window mechanisms. It consists of a 1.6 L Straight-4 engine that delivers an output power of 105 hp and in the racing versions it delivers 168 hp.

GTA 1300 Junior
The GTA 1300 Junior was launched in the year 1968 and its production continued up to 1972. It is a two door car that consisted of a 1.3 L Straight-4 engine with a capacity of 1300 cc that delivered an output power of 108 hp whereas the racing cars delivered 165 hp. A total of 450 units have been manufactured where the common features in all the units are the plastic windows, alloy wheels and magnesium engine components. It consisted of 5-speed gearbox with disc brakes on all the wheels.

GTAm
The GTAm was manufactured in between 1970-1971. It is a two door car that consists of a 2.0 L Straight-4 engine with a capacity of 1779 cc that delivers an output power of 237 hp. It consisted of 5-speed gearbox with disc brakes on all the wheels.

GTA-SA
The GTA-Sa is a racing car manufactured in between the years 1697-1968. A total of 10 units were manufactured in this model which consisted of an 1.6 L straight-4 supercharged engine that delivered an output power of 247 hp at 7500 rpm. It consisted of 5-speed gearbox with disc brakes on all the wheels. The GTA-SA also stood in the first place at the Hockenheim 100 Mile Race in the year 1967.

All these three models were successful and victorious at a number of races.

Alfa Romeo GTV & Spider

The Alfa Romeo GTV and the Alfa Romeo Spider have been manufactured by Alfa Romeo Automobiles in between the years 1995-2006.

Both the GTV and Spider are sports cars whereas the GTV is 2+2 coupe and the predecessor of Alfetta GTV coupe. The Spider is a two-seater and the predecessor of Giulia Spider. Both the cars have been designed by Pinnifarina, an Italian car design firm.

Alfa Romeo GTV

The Spider has been manufactured in three different phases in an Italian design which is in wedge shape, kicked up tail and advanced aerodynamics. The earlier cars consisted of 15 inch alloy wheels and later, the 18 inch alloy wheels were used. Also, the car consists of power steering, adjustable headlamps, sound system with six speakers, Anti Braking System and alarm system which is operated by a remote.

2.0 TS I4 engine: –
This engine was used in between the years 1998-2000 which has a capacity of 1970 cc and delivers an output power of 114 KW at 6400 rpm and 187 N-m torque at 3500 rpm. It reaches the speed of 100 kmph in 8.4 seconds and the top speed is about 216 kmph.

2.0 JTS I4 engine: –
This engine was used in between the years 2003-2006 which has a capacity of 1970 cc and delivers an output power of 121 KW at 6400 rpm and 206 N-m torque at 3250 rpm. It reaches the speed of 100 kmph in 8.4 seconds and the top speed is about 220 kmph.

3.0 V6 24V engine: –
This engine was used in between the years 1998-2003 which has a capacity of 2959 cc and delivers an output power of 160 KW at 6400 rpm and 265 N-m torque at 5000 rpm. It reaches the speed of 100 kmph in 6.8 seconds and the top speed is about 248 kmph.

3.2 V6 24V engine: –
This engine was used in between the years 2003-2006 which has a capacity of 3179 cc and delivers an output power of 176 KW at 6200 rpm and 289 N-m torque at 4800 rpm. It reaches the speed of 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds and the top speed is about 255 kmph.

Alfa Romeo Montreal

The Alfa Romeo Montreal is a sports car manufactured by Alfa Romeo Automobiles in between the years 1970-1977.

The Alfa Romeo Montreal was first displayed at the “International and Universal Exposition” at Montreal, Canada in the year 1967. Later, the first production car was displayed at the “Geneva Motor Show” in the year 1970. It consisted of a 2.6 L V8 engine with a capacity of 2593 cc and a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine is equipped with SPICA fuel injection system that delivered an output power of 200 bhp at 6500 rpm and 235 N-m torque at 4750 rpm.

The bodywork of the Alfa Romeo has been taken from Giulia GTV which featured dampers and coil springs in the front, live axle at the rear. The highlight in the car is its four headlamps at the front which is covered by unique grills. The stylish NACA duct is another highlight in the car which can be blocked off.

Alfa Romeo Sprint

The Alfa Romeo sprint was manufactured by Alfa Romeo Automobiles in between the years 1976-1989. A total of 116,552 units have been manufactured which were sold in Australia, Europe, New Zeeland and South Africa.

Up to 1983, the car was considered as Alfasud Sprint and later it was renamed as Alfa Romeo Sprint. The first models consisted of a 1.2 L Flat-4 engine with a capacity of 1286 cc that delivered an output power of 75 bhp. In the year 1983, a number of modifications have been done which included the plastic bumpers, headlamps, top and grille.

The 1984 models were modified, which consisted of a new drum brakes and a 1.7 Boxer engine with a capacity of 1712 cc that delivered an output power of 114 bhp.

Design
The 1970 models measured 4.02 meters long with two lamps on the grille. The 1980 models consisted of 14 inch wheels which are covered with Michelin 340 mm tires and plastic side bumpers.

Interiors
The ignition key is located on the steering wheels left side and some switches for the rear window and rear fog are located at the middle console.

Alfa Romeo SZ & RZ

The Alfa Romeo SZ is a limited production high performance sports car manufactured by Alfa Romeo Automobiles in between the years 1989-1991.

Alfa Romeo SZ
The Alfa Romeo SZ was first displayed at the “Geneva Motor Show” in the year 1989. It was designed by Robert Opron, a French automotive designer and the interiors have been designed by Antonio Castellana. The entire car was built based on Alfa Romeo 75, the suspensions were modified and a hydraulic damper system has been introduced and the wheels have been covered with Pirelli P Zero tires. It consisted of a 3.0 V6 engine with a capacity of 2959 cc that delivered an output power of 207 hp at 6200 rpm and 181 lb-ft torque at 4500 rpm. The number of units manufactured in the Alfa Romeo SZ series is about 1036.

The Alfa Romeo RZ version has been launched in the year 1992 with red, yellow and black colors. A total of 284 units have been manufactured, all these cars consisted of the same 3.0 V6 engine which was used in Alfa Romeo SZ with a capacity of 2959 cc that delivered an output power of 207 hp at 6200 rpm and 181 lb-ft torque at 4500 rpm.

The Alfa Romeo SZ can also be seen in the movie “Ghost in the Shell” and “Super Cars II” game.
