Used Cadillac Allante

Cadillac Allante 150

In 1987, Cadillac introduced the Allante (pronounced “ah-lon-tay”) to bring back its old glory as the leading manufacturer of luxury vehicles in the world. The Cadillac Allante signaled the entry of the American automaker in the luxury roadster industry, with more than 20,000 units produced in seven years.

The Cadillac Allante uses the same 4.1-liter V8 engine as other Cadillac models, though its powertain is one of a kind. The Allante is a front-wheel drive, which is rare among other expensive sports cars.

Cadillac invested a lot in the bodywork of the Allante, which was originally called the Callisto. Designed and built in Italy, the bodies of this Cadillac model were shipped 3,300 miles via plane to the company’s assembly plant in Michigan. There, the bodies were assembled with the chassis. That’s why the Cadillac Allante has earned a few interesting monikers such as “the world’s longest assembly line” and “the flying Italian Cadillac.”

Used Cadillac CTS

Cadillac CTS 150

An entry-level sport sedan, the Cadillac CTS is the only small car produced by Cadillac that has attracted many buyers. Years before the CTS debuted, Cadillac had never attempted to create smaller cars. When Cadillac finally produced small cars, a lot of consumers were not too keen on the new products. The Cadillac CTS, however, was an exception. Cadillac used extensive research and development work as well as revolutionary design in manufacturing the CTS.

Cadillac produced two generations of the CTS. One of the company’s well-known models, the first CTS is the only domestic entry-level car that can match the quality of leading Japanese and European entry-level luxury vehicles. Cadillac gave the first generation CTS cars a huge makeover especially in interior design, and this led to the creation of the second-generation Cadillac CTS cars. Released for the 2008 model year, the second-generation CTS sports not only a new look, but also a more powerful machine under its hood. The CTS is powered by either a 3.6-liter DI (direct-injection) V6 engine rated at 304 horsepower or a 3.6-liter V6 that produces 258 horsepower.
