Shelby 85th Commemorative GT40

In honor of Carroll Shelby’s 85th birthday, Shelby Distribution USA under the name from Shelby Licensing and partnership with Shelby Automobiles Inc. will introduce the three new Shelby American GT40® race cars. That achieved one of the greatest feats in American automotive racing history. The GT40 chassis is nearly the same replica of the original race car, all the way down to the steel roof.

The chassis weighing in over 12,000 pounds per degree is stiffer than any other chassis on the market. The engine’s car is called the Shelby 427FE V8. Nothing beats Shelby’s 85th birthday than the classics, featuring an original full independent suspension system.

Elite braking performance has been achieved through the vented Wilwood super brakes. The interior features a sporty racing atmosphere, having a pedal box, instruments and a 14-inch steering wheel. I would say that this car has been a favorite classic with its Shelby buyers.

Used BMW 8-Series

BMW 8-SeriesIf you like taking friends for a fast joyride, sitting behind the wheels of a car belonging to the BMW 8-Series would be just fine. BMW marketed this series in the US between 1991 and 1997 as a two-door 2+2 coupe with a V8 or V12 engine. All variants of the 8-series could accommodate two rear passengers, unlike its direct competitor, the Mercedes Benz SL Roadster which is only a two-seater.

The cars under BMW 8-Series have an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), but with the limiters removed this could reach an estimated 299 km/h (186 mph). Initial sales of the 8-Series were good but revenues were affected by the oil price hikes and the global recession of the early 1990s. Eventually, the BMW 8-Series was pulled out of the North American market in 1997 and worldwide production was totally stopped in 1999. There are unconfirmed reports, however, that BMW plans to revive the 8-series in a four-dour coupe to match the Mercedes Benz CLS-Class market entries.

BMW GINA Light Visionary Concept Model

Most concept cars lets the automotive designers imagine things running around, but landing with a successful result. BMW had an idea to do something awkward, yet astonishing by molding a car into fabric. Instead of metal and steel, the GINA Light Visionary Model has a body of fabric over the metal to lets its drivers shape it to their will.

Chris Bangle, head of the design for BMW says, “challenge existing principles and conventional processes.” The BMW GINA has been built on Z8 chassis and a 4.4-liter V8 and six-speed automatic transmission. BMW has stated that the fabric is resistant to water and polyurethane-coated.

Drivers can easily get in and out with ease by their interior, which actually is quite fascinating. I would encourage people to get this car because it is a different trend of designs from most other cars today in the market.

Used BMW 2002

BMW 2002The BMW 2002 belongs to the line of compact coupes and sedans that BMW manufactured under its Neue Klasse (New Class) line from 1962 to 1977. Among the features of the models in this line are four-cylinder M-10 engines, fully independent suspensions, front disc brakes and MacPhersons struts in front. From the initial two-door coupes and four-door sedans, two-door sports sedans were added to the New Class line with the introduction of the 02 Series 1600 and the BMW 2002 in 1966.

The introduction of the 2002 reinforced the BMW’s reputation for its sports sedan, a stature trail-blazed by the introduction of the 1500 model. Maserati Quattroporte S

Maserati has been in the market for 45 years, not being a dominant force though. Two companies have overridden Maserati’s best cars, Ferrari and Porsche. Ever since 2003, the fifth generation of the Quattroporte has reached a new high of desirability, due to the largely Ferrari-derived V-8 engine. Quattroporte is now one of the sportiest luxury sedans ever.

Maserati Quattroporte S

Maserati had a success with their new midcycle styling and interior refresh. The top-of-the-line Quattroporte S is powered by a 4.7 –liter V-8. Quattroporte S has 19-inch wheels that are unique in design; also Maserati had made little changes, but large enough to the Quattroporte’s insides.

It can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds and it retail at around $124,000. Quattroporte has remained as one the sportiest sedans for its buyers on the inside and out.
