  • Mikie Mike

Whats awesome Is my truck gets 6 mpg its only a twin turbo hemi 5.7 Cost a lot for gas but its awesome!

  • amy

I am confident We have look at this exact same form of statement somewhere else, it needs to be gathering popularity while using people.

  • i know being an owner to honda crv everyone looking at your car and you feel like boss of the road

    • Joe

Oh ya, you’re a real “boss” driving a Honda. SMH.

  • Jack

Go with a Dodge Journey. Can’t go wrong.

But, what’s with this? You get better mileage in the city than on the highway????????!!!

    • Kevin Butt

Those that get better in the City than on the highway are hybrids. Hybrids use braking to regenerate charge in the battery and therefore increase the mileage when there is a lot of braking. That is why they get better in the city.

  • @suv fan:
The Escape gets an overhaul for the 2013 model. The styling is quite different now and gas mileage for the non hybrid model is improved as well.

  • Lexus is great exactly . Like Hybrid technology.

  • gage

where is nissan armada JK (just kidding)

  • Mary Jo

These are all crossover SUV’s. What about a real SUV? Who is the best in that category?

  • matrix058

you should take the Nissan Jike off this list as it gets lousy gas mileage, way under the EPA rating ..jsut read the forums. I have owned one for about 6 months and have not seen anything over 22mpg regardless of how I drive.

  • i use ur data plz dont mind

  • This is a great analysis about the fuel efficient suvs!

  • Based on the 10 SUVs you just stated I came to realize that style wise they are all pretty good. I used to think that in order to get a vehicle that provides good gas mileage you would have to give up style for it.

Good to see this is not the case. Also I am sure most people are looking for the one that is most affordable.

  • Its funny how the Escape Hybrid has been around for years and yet it is still at the top of the list. Same with the Lexus RX hybrid. Wonder why the other automobile companies are not trying to take some of the business from Ford and Lexus.

  • I would like to go with Toyota Rav4 as it not only capitalized on this market with cool and sporty looks, but also it is a fashion symbol of younger generations.

  • The 2012 Honda CR-V should be 4th place instead of the Toyota Highlander Hybrid because it’s 23/31 mpg (CR-V) .vs. 28/28 mpg (Highlander Hybrid).

  • Lexus Rx 450h, is the best and I love it

  • Some versions of the Mazda CX-7 also get a pretty good gas mileage. Not mine though:P Still, I just love the way it handles.

  • sku

I have a 2011 Terrain and there are too many cons to name. GMC says mpg is 22 city & 32 Hwy – haven’t seen that yet nor has anyone else that has made an online comment about it. False advertisement as far as I am concerned.

  • i think Lexus RX 450h is the best.

  • Rajitha

I like the Hyundai Tuscon 2011. Its very stylish in design. I have a 2WD drive with best ever fuel economy. I had so many Suv’s this is the best.

  • Michael

I bought a 2011 Hyundai Sonata last year after selling my BMW 3 series. This is the first Hyundai I have owned and am completely satisfied. Best gas mileage I’ve ever had with a car, great looks, and great long warranty. Hyundai has come a long way.

  • fred

y cant they make a car with great gas milage and looks good? i will not buy a ugly car

  • Escape Hybrid has bland styling and boring interiors. But still it is doing great because of the best gas economy

  • ray

the honda pilot also gets gas mileage for an suv
