At first glance it might remind you of a Camaro. At closer inspection you will be in awe of its boldness and exquisite styling flair.
The 2013 Volvo Coupe Concept is illuminated by LED’s inside and out, mounted on an all wheel chassis and powered by an exceptional engine.
Even if the Coupe Concept doesn’t make it to the assembly line, many of its innovations may be apparent in the 7 passenger XC90 crossover, currently in production by the Scandinavian automaker.

Engine & Efficiency
Under the hood of the Coupe Concept has a 2.0 liter, inline 4, Drive E gasoline engine with both a supercharger and turbo.
An electric motor is mounted on the rear axle which combines with its petrol counterpart in providing 400 horsepower.
The Concept Coupe is expected go from 0-60 mph in 5 seconds, but is also capable of a fuel efficient 88 mpg city and 98 mpg highway. The engine and motor are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Exterior
The façade of the Volvo Coupe Concept may be described as “bullet like”. Its inverted grille is reminiscent of other vehicles. The bumper is geometric and smooth absent of any odd shaped corners.
The swooped back rectangular headlights put on a wonderful light show featuring LED and crystal lighting technology. The new T-shaped daytime running lights that rest on the headlamp lenses are sure to attract anyone’s attention.
The profile view affords a tight line that quickly draws your eyes to a vertical rear window that sits above an acutely raked rear fender.
The trunk lid stylishly and proudly incorporates the name “VOLVO” with another set of inverted LED taillights on either side. The corners at the bottom are accentuated with rectangular chrome tipped exhaust outlets.
Interior
The highlight of the Coupe Concept interior may be the sparkling crystal gear lever. There is also a large portrait touch screen above the center console that interacts with a digital and heads up display in the front of the driver.
The instrument panel is covered in leather and naturally aged wood inlays.
