Engine

The e-Golf has a 113 horsepower electric motor (85 kW/ 115 PS) and can produce 199 lbs ft of torque. The motor’s 24.2 kWh battery (lithium-ion) consists of 264 separate cells that add up to 323 volts.

Exterior

This e-Golf is the first model to have all-LED headlights. This four door comes with a redesigned front bumper that has daytime running lights and rear lights, both LED.

There are no exhaust pipes because this car is a zero-emission model. It comes with 16 inch alloy wheels and its 205 tires have been optimized to be low rolling resistant.

Interior

The e-Golf seats are available in Merline e-grey design or a titanium black pattern. Standard equipment includes: parking heater, automatic climate control, high-end radio/navigation system, heated windshield, leather gear knob, and leather steering wheel.

The stylish dark magnesium and iridium matrix trim features a redesigned instrument layout which includes a center console touchscreen.

The interior has new floor-mat edgings. This model also comes with an Ambience “Think Blue” pack and has blue reading LED lights, blue foot well lights, blue ambient illumination throughout its decorative trim to go with the blue illuminated door sill tread plates.

Charging System

There are different methods to charge the e-Golf’s battery. The conventional 230-volt electrical socket method takes 13 hours to fully recharge the battery.

Volkswagen also provides an optional garage or carport wall box which charges at 3.6 kW levels and takes 8 hours to recharge the battery. The battery can also be recharged at public charging stations.
