2011 Volkswagen Touareg Gold Edition

In the 2011 Qatar Motor Show, for the very first time, Volkswagen unveiled two new exclusive SUV concept cars. First is the Race Touareg 3 that’s just notched up a victory at the 2011 Dakar rally, and the other one is the Touareg Gold Edition.

Why Gold Edition? Simple, certain areas of this SUV have been upgraded with 24 Carat Gold. There’s gold on the grille, air intakes, door strips, roof rails, boot guard, window frames, as well as the badges. That’s all? The custom-designed 22-inch wheels are also covered in 24-carat gold. It will be wise to keep an eye out on this car.

The exterior is decorated with white Alcantara roof lining while it used the “Magic Morning” color for its body. Found inside is Nappa leather – covered Recaro bucket seats with ornamental stitches that matches the white exterior paint, a pure brown leather dash with contrasting seams in Magnolia color, gold accents and switches, and accents of Walnut Burr are found in the center console and door trim panels with genuine gold marquetry.  Under the hood are a turbocharged 2.5 liter diesel engine, a four wheel drive system, and a super-stiff chassis.

This car is indeed priceless with all its features. It is no wonder there are still people who are eager to have this car. Even though this car requires a security team when out of town, the Touareg Gold Edition is still one of the most stylish cars ever made.
