The Volkswagen EuroVan took the place of the Vanagon in 1993. It embodied a vehicle that carries a legendary name which has become noted for meeting expectations for supreme comfort and convenience in family motoring. EuroVan is driven by a 109-horsepower, 2.5-liter five-cylinder front engine. Available in two trims, the EuroVan’s standard equipment consisted of a five-speed manual transmission, with optional four-speed automatic. The van could accommodate seven people. The base model had modern features & amenities like power steering, power brakes, and a defroster for the rear windows. Another model, the GL, added music, air conditioning, plus some other features. Swivel bucket seats, a table that swings up, and foldable rear seats-cum-bed were incorporated in the MV model. The Camper model even came with a kitchen, and in 1999, the V^ engine was fitted in which could make 140 horsepower.

More features and amenities were added as part of enhancements in the succeeding years until the 2000 era. By 2001, the V6 engine of the EuroVan could make 201 horsepower. Many motorists took delight in the spacious interiors of the EuroVan.
