Another one of Toyota’s best selling car models is the Toyota Sequoia. It is a fully sized Sports Utility Vehicle or SUV manufactured and produced by Toyota Motors in Princeton Indiana. It was largely based on the Tundra pick-up truck model and was released in the year 2000 as an early 2001 model. It is similarly priced with other Toyota models such as the 4Runner and the Land Cruiser.

The Toyota Sequoia is currently one of the largest if not the largest SUV that is being sold under the Toyota name. It is a little larger than the Toyota Land Cruiser having an eight-seat passenger capability instead of the traditional seven-seat capability. It also has a larger capacity for cargo behind its third row. The setback however is that it does not have the usual permanent four-wheel drive that other Toyota SUVs are well known for.

As of the year 2009, the Toyota Sequoia is being sold exclusively in the United States, Canada, the Middle East and Mexico. It was shown initially in different car shows during the year 1999 and 2000. It is very similar to the Tundra model, sharing very similar features and components such as the engine, driveline and the basic chassis. It comes in two “trim” models namely SR5 and Limited edition models. The SR5 is now priced in between $30,000 to $32,000 in U.S. currency and the Limited edition between $40,000 to $43,000, making it one of the medium priced SUVs available in the market as of today.
