When you say Chrysler and retro design, only one car comes to mind: the Chrysler Prowler. Yes, that open, Indy-racer-inspired front wheels on the Prowler are unmistakable. Manufactured in 1997 and from 1999 to 2002, the Prowler has more than just a striking retro design. On the outside, it has an aluminum body and strongly bonded components. Under the hood lies a 3.5-liter SOHC V6 engine that generates 214 horsepower. In 1999, a more powerful 253-horsepower engine replaced the original one. Both engines have four-speed automatic transmission found at the rear area of the car. A flexible driveshaft, which spins at engine speed, connects the transmission to the engine. This design allows for a good weight distribution in the car.
