Acura TSX 150

The luxury car division of Honda Motor, Acura, launched the TSX in April 2003 as a 2004 model to fill the gap for a four-door, entry-level sedan in its lineup. All built in Sayama, Saitama, Japan, the Acura TSX series is now on its second generation. In its debut year, the TSX powertrain consisted of a 2.4L inline four-cylinder engine.

The first-generation TSX operates on a front-wheel drive layout, six-speed manual transmission (which featured a magnesium casing to cut on weight), with a five-speed semi-automatic as optional. The TSX boasts of a double wishbone front suspension setup and a multi-link in the rear, especially tuned by Honda engineers to maximize handling and cornering speed. In its second generation, the TSX for the 2009 model uses a 2.4-liter, in-line four-cylinder engine reaching power output of 201 hp (150 kW) and torque of 172 lb-ft (233 N-m). This new engine set up reputedly results in power distribution across a much broader rpm range.
