Engine & Performance
The standard engine on the 2015 Canyon is a 2.5 Liter inline 4, generating 193 horsepower. A 3.6 Liter V6 will also be available having capabilities of up to 302 horsepower.
The latter version should be capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in approximately 9 seconds, but hey, it’s a truck, who needs all that that zip and go, when what you want is pull and tow.
Both engines will be mated with a standard 6 speed automatic transmission.
Exterior
The new Canyon has been designed to be functional in all kinds of terrain.
Your first move will be to identify which version of the vehicle is best suited for your needs. It is offered with a pair of crew cabs, one with a 5 foot bed, and the other at 6 feet.
An extended cab will also be available with the 6 foot bed. Two wheel and four wheel drive will be another decision you will make. Still another consideration will be whether to go with the SLE or SLT model.
The headlamps are standard projector beam and C-shaped LED running lamps are also present. The hood is made of aluminum that help reduce the vehicles weight.
The all terrain package includes a body color front grille with horizontal chrome bars and 17″ painted aluminum wheels.
Interior
The interior of the 2015 Canyon comes well connected, aptly equipped in a comfortable environment.
The instrument panel is easily readable and there is a good sized driver information display mounted above the center console. The front headroom is 40″ and the rear legroom varies from 28.6″ to 35.8″ depending on the model.
