With the new Edge, Ford has decided to build on its utility vehicle leadership worldwide. In 2013, the company sold over 1.2 million utility vehicle across the globe; this is 38 % more than what they sold in 2012.
Recently, revealed was the new 2015 Ford Edge. This car is totally redesigned with a brand new exterior, upgraded interior, advanced safety features and improved entertainment features.

Engine & Performance
Under the hood, the Edge is powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder EcoBoost engine. It 245 horsepower and a torque of 270 lbs ft. A 3.5 liter V6 is available as an option.
Another option is the 2.7 liter turbocharged V6 engine that delivers 300 horsepower. However, this engine is only available on the Edge sport model. The engines are paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission’ with wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
Exterior
This new Crossover is available in the SE, SEL, Sport trims and for the very first time, a Titanium trim level. The new Edge is taller and longer than its predecessor. This gives more legroom for driver and front passage and rear seat occupants.
The head room has been increased by 1 inch. Cargo capacity has now grown to 39.2 cubic feet just behind the second row seats. When the second row is folded, 73.4 cubic feet of cargo is created.
Interior
Inside, you will find an 8-inch touch-screen that helps you control a hands-free phone and other entertainment functions. New adaptive steering comes standard on Titanium and Sport models. This reduces any low-speed steering efforts in parking lots.
Other features include 180-degree front-parking camera, heated and ventilated front seats, parallel parking assist, heated steering wheel, a hands-free lift-gate, panoramic sunroof, a satellite radio, Bluetooth iPod input and so much more.
Safety
Safety features include a rear-view camera, blind-spot warning, automatic braking, rear cross-traffic alert, inflatable safety belts and some passenger knee airbag.
