The third generation Chevrolet Silverado arrives next year. To mark the occasion, Chevy brings on the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado ” High Country” edition. It has been 15 years since the Silverado joined the ranks of C/K series pickups.

The 2014 standard models will stand taller and are structurally sound than its predecessors. The base short crew cab starts at $31,715. However, the High Country may cost just a little more.

Under the hood of the pickup truck is a 5.3 liter, 8 cylinder EcoTec3 engine that produces 355 horsepower. It is capable of reaching speeds up to a maximum of 120 MPH.

Exterior

The first thing you’ll notice on the front of this special edition truck is the unique grille. Its horizontal chrome bars stand out as a distinctive touch. The halogen projector headlamps are quite noticeable and they are sure to provide sufficient illumination at night.

The front and rear bumper are color coordinated to enhance the trucks overall finish. A touch of chrome are present on its side trim and around the mirrors. Its tall profile is enhanced by 20 inch chrome wheels and features a functional running board. The tires are rated for all weather conditions, P275/55R20.

Interior

The interior is distinguished by the “High Country” logo stamp embossed in the headrests. The front buckets are made of saddle brown trimmed leather and have both heating and cooling capabilities.

The instrument panel is laid out with all controls easy to reach. There is also an 8 inch touch screen with Chevrolet’s “My Life” connectivity. There is front and rear park assist and an audio system from Bose.
