With the introduction of the 2014 Caterham Seven 620R, a lightweight sports car from producer Caterham Cars has gone to the limit with its newest “Seven” model.
It has been 40 years since the first Seven was developed and well worth the wait.
The 620R version sets extreme performance standards on a car that is already an icon. This will be the most outrageous production “Seven” to hit the road to date.

Engine & Performance
When you come right down to it, the 620R is all about performance. This car is made to be run hard for the mere fun of it.
Under the hood you will find a 2.0 liter, inline 4 Supercharged engine that generates 311 horsepower at 7700 rpm. This rear wheel drive machine will go from 0-60 mph in just under 3 seconds. It is mated with a 6 speed sequential transmission.
Exterior
There is no other way to describe the Caterham Seven 620R’s outward appearance if you are not familiar with the model. Suffice it to say that this lightweight, long nosed sportster poised is for action.
More important than its looks are the new exterior performance features such as the race inspired cooling system, an efficient air flow nose cone and gunmetal chassis.
The rear suspension is manufactured by De Dion and it has a front suspension that has a wide track, matched with hi-performance dampers all the way around. The chassis rests on 13″ lightweight alloy wheels surrounded by Avon ZZR tires.
Interior
Inside are even more impressive enhancements that await you. The switch gear is ergonomically designed and the dash is complemented with instrumentation that concentrates on performance.
Both the dash and interior panels are carbon fiber as are the dual racing seats. The Q/R race steering wheel is the perfect touch to finish off the cockpit.
