2013 Tramontana XTR

The 2013 Tramontana XTR concept is one of the most extraordinary supercars ever conceived.

While most designers and manufacturers of this type of supercar have concentrated on building cars that look sleek and racy with smooth curves and contours, the planned Tramontana has sharp angles and several bits protruding around the car. It looks more like a toy kit car that has been badly assembled.

0-60 mph: 3.0 seconds Top Speed: 200 mph (322 km/h)

Despite its unusual appearance, the unique styling make it very eye-catching. On the racetrack, it is certainly going to stand. Another highly unusual feature of the two-seater is that the passenger seat is behind the driver, an idea taken from fighter planes.

Engine

If the car ever goes into production, it will be one of the fastest cars ever built. This 2013 XTR will be fitted with the same Mercedes V-12 engine as earlier models. However, the engine has been modified and optimized, resulting in an increase in horsepower from the already impressive 720 to an astonishing 888. The result is a car that is capable of going from zero to 60 in just three seconds, and will be able to reach a top speed that is over 200 mph.

A 5.2 Liter V10 naturally aspirated is also being considered to be offered as an option. The V10 is expected to produce 600 horsepower and 428 lbs ft of torque.

The car is a rear wheel drive, and is supplied with a gearbox that the company describes as an “ultra-rapid competition” one, which presumably means the car will come equipped with paddles mounted on the steering wheel.

Price

Tramontana has not given details of how much this car is going to cost, but it is certainly not going to come cheap. It is likely to begin somewhere in the $800,000 range. Similarly the company has not given detailed specifications of the car’s dimensions.

The company had hoped to build and launch the first car before the end of 2012, but the 2013 Tramontana XTR has yet to make an appearance.

Performance

The most remarkable part that Wheelsandmore did for the SL63 AMG is the Engine. The 5.5L V8 engine gets the right adjustments that lead to its improved performance. The German tuner boosted the performance of the new Seven-11 by adding a new flap-controlled exhaust system, sports catalyst, remapped software and an optimized air induction.

With these features, the engine can now deliver 700 horsepower up from 537 and 811 lbs-ft of torque up from 664. They added an electronic lowering module called Low MaXX, it is responsible for lowering the ABC suspension. The module switches off at 70 km/h, providing safety and comfort reserves.

Exterior

Wheelsandmore are known for paying much attention to the wheels. For the SL63 AMG, they continue this tradition. This time round, they have fitted the Seven-11 version with 10 by 20 inches 3-piece 6Sporz forged alloy wheels at the front and wrapped them with 255/30/20 tires. The back gets the same type of wheel but measuring 12 by 20 inches and wrapped with 305/25/20 tires.

The German tuners are also offering the wheel/tire combination in 20/21-inch staggered combination. The paint is Armageddon Matte-gray mixed with Light-Matte-Black finish. This is topped with the customary Wheelsandmore race-stripe. The interior details are still not available for the time.

Although Mercedes offers the original Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG, the modifications the popular German tuner gives, makes the 2012 Wheelsandmore Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG Seven-11 more than appealing.

2012 Senner Tuning Audi S5 Coupe

The 2012 Senner Tuning Audi S5 Coupe becomes the latest key project from the German tuner. This is not the first time that the tuner has focused on modifying the Audi S5, but the 2012 Coupe is most likely their most impressive package to date.

Initially, Audi did their own tweaks and added a new 3.0L V6 supercharged engine to the face-lifted S5 Coupe. Senner Tuning ratchets it up a notch with all these new elements to a higher level to come up with the 2012 Senner Tuning S5 Coupe.

Engine

Senner fine tunes the standard 3.0L V6 engine to generate 429 horsepower and 370 lbs-ft of torque up from 329 hp and 324 lbs-ft. This was achieved by the installation of a mechanically-driven supercharger, 2-part motor cover, power converter, and performance racing air-filter.

After the exclusion of the maximum speed blocker, the Senner Tuning’s S5 Coupe can now fully convert its improved performance into top line speed and forward drive. This performance is complimented by an awesome sound made by the 4-pipe RS5 exhaust scheme that extends from the catalytic-converter.

Exterior & Interior

The Senner Audi S5 is fitted with Work VS-XX light alloy wheels that come with black painted anodized star-shaped rims as well as mirror-finish anodized outer rims. These wheels are wrapped in Vredestein-Ultra-Sessanta tires measuring 245/30 R 20 for the front wheels and 295/25 R 20 for the rear.

The tuner also added a full coil over kit to the suspension offering great driving comfort, smooth ride as well as firm control when cornering.

In the interior, you are pampered by the bicolor Nappa leather trim which is offered in Magma-red and black with contrasting stitching color. Other key interior features include: RS5 door handle, sports steering column, and a DVD system that is electronically activated to allow DVDs to be viewed when driving.

With all the mentioned upgrades and tweaks, Senner Tuning did a remarkable job by modifying the Audi S5 into the elegant Senner Tuning S5 Coupe. The package is being sold at 69,990 euro.

2012 Mazzanti Evantra

Mazzanti chose the Top Marques Supercar Show to be held in Monaco, a weekend on April 2013 under the patronage of Monaco’s Prince Albert II. It will be the venue to launch its Mazzanti Evantra Supercar.

This is a limited series production car, and the company will only produce five cars per year, making it very exclusive. One of the key features of the Mazzanti Evantra is that the company encourages would-be owners to take a highly active part in customizing the car to their own requirements.

Specifications

General Info
Vehicle Type: Super Sport Coupe Est. Market Price: NA
Dimensions
Length: 170.2 in. (432.5 cm) Wheelbase: 100.4 in. (255 cm)

Curb Weight: 2646 lbs (1200 kg) Maximum Seating: 2

Engine: Flat 6 Twin Natural Displacement: 3.5 Liter
Horsepower: 403 HP 0-60 mph: 3.7 seconds

Engine

Buyers will have a choice of a naturally aspirated, 3.5-liter, flat-6 engine that will deliver 403 horsepower, or they can opt for the twin turbocharger version of the same engine. The latter bumps the horsepower up to a whopping 603 horsepower.

The chassis is built from lightweight steel. The designers focused on giving the car a very low center of gravity, greatly improving road-holding performance, and keeping the weight down as much as possible.

Design

The Evantra concept was created by Mazzanti founder Luca Mazzanti. He collaborated with the chief designer, Zsolt Tarnok, to finalize the design of the Evantra. Their philosophy was to produce a car that combined the best features of modern and classic sports cars.

The result is a car that at first glance, looks very much like a classic in its overall silhouette. However, it quickly becomes obvious that the styling and external features are in fact very modern. The car has been deliberately shaped to have a more aggressive appearance than the traditional sports car.

Modern LED lighting units are set in recessed housing, and do not interrupt the sleek, smooth curves of the front body, which sweeps downwards to an inverted triangle shaped grille. The front makes the car look more like a racing car than a sports car.

Exterior

The visual appearance of the car has been inspired by the MC Stradale. The new design is not just aimed at creating an eye-catching profile, but also enhances the aerodynamic performance of the car. The front now has four large air intakes. Two direct the airflow over the engine, while the other two channel air to the front brakes to provide more efficient cooling.

The rear spoiler is finished in the same color as the body in the standard production car. An optional version is available with a carbon finish.

Interior

The interior receives many changes from previous models. All the seats have been redesigned to improve ergonomics as well as appearance and comfort levels. Being a convertible, space in the rear seats is limited, but Maserati have redesigned the front seat frames to give an extra .79 inches legroom in the rear.

Transmission

The six-speed, automatic ZF transmission can be operated fully automatically or used in manual mode. The transmission has a total of five selectable operating modes to suit all types of driving.

Four of these allow for normal or sport driving in either automatic or manual mode. The fifth operating mode is for driving in icy or slippery conditions.

Features

The 2013 Maserati GranCabrio MC has been built to improve safety and comfort without compromising on the sport qualities of the car. The car is fitted with the company’s Dual Cast braking system.

To reduce weight and improve rigidity, the monococque chassis is built from a combination of aluminum, high strength steel and composites.
