* 2014 Navigator Specs
Engine
The old v8 engine of the Navigator has been replaced with a direct-injected EcoBoost 3.5 liter V6. It is now equipped with a more powerful, yet fuel-efficient turbocharged engine.
This new engine is set to deliver 370 horsepower and 430 lb.-ft. of torque. This powerful new engine is predicted to set records for this year’s best-in-towing.
Performance
Critics claim that this edition handles better than previous models. It sports electronically adjustable shocks and rides smoothly over bumps on the road.
Although the Navigator’s automatic transmission only has six speeds, it comes with a 4.10 drive ratio.
Drivers can also control the ride of the vehicle by selecting one of three modes.
Interior & Exterior
The new Navigator received an upgrade on the interior. The stitching along the seats and doors compliment the newly installed treated leather. It also improved noise reduction inside the cabin.
The exterior was designed with the guidance of Max Wolfe, and the new edition received an all new signature split-winged grill.
The tailgate has also changed, receiving a full-width lighting treatment which gives it a modern and refreshed look. Similarities to older models are still evident.
The 2015 Lincoln Navigator brings luxury through technology. Although the exterior remains true to the previous models released years ago, a number of significant changes contribute to the vehicle’s comfort and performance.
The new Navigator is to hit showrooms as early as the third quarter of 2014.
