Used Oldsmobile

Oldsmobile was a brand of vehicles produced by General Motors. Since its founding in 1897 by Ransom E. Olds, the Oldsmobile brand has produced 35.2 million cars, 14 million of which were built at its assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan. By the time it was phased out in 2004, Oldsmobile was the oldest surviving automobile brand in America and the third oldest in the world, after Daimler and Peugeot. In the 1990s, two GM brands were phased out, Geo and Asuna, and Oldsmobile was the first one to be discontinued in the 21st century.

The Oldsmobile line had its heyday in the 1980s, due to increased sales with its popular designs, good critical reception with its vehicles, and the popularity and perceived reliability of its v8 engine. The Pontiac and Buick divisions made resurgence in the 1990s, making the Oldsmobile displaced among the General Motors lines. From 2001 to 2004, several phases of the phase-out was conducted, with several of its lines stopping production. The last line of vehicles that was discontinued was the Oldsmobile Alero, which was discontinued in April 2004.
