Maserati is one of the many prestigious car companies that has its roots in Italy ever since the year 1915. It was originally situated in Bologna but it has now moved to Modena due to its new owners, the Italian car giant Fiat S.p.A that has bought it since the year 1993. Today it has become an integral part of the sports car group. and has ever since been bringing to the whole world top of the line and best of quality sports car till this day.

The ownership of Maserati has been swinging to and from different car manufacturing giants like Ferrari, General Motors and Fiat. The latest news is that last 2005 due to the termination of a joint venture between General Motors and Fiat, the later company has retained ownership of the whole of Maserati whilst in the process of selling thousands and thousands of sports cars and automobiles in the United States as well as the rest of the world.
