The Jeep Wrangler is also known as the YJ, TJ, and JK. This compact-sized four-wheel drive SUV (sport utility vehicle) is currently produced under the Jeep line of American automaker Chrysler Motors. The Wrangler is the descendant of the World War II 'Jeep' vehicle, as the structure is similar to the Willys civilian Jeep (CJ) in the 1950s, which was later manufactured by Kaiser-Jeep and American Motors Company (AMC). The Jeep Wrangler started being produced in 1987. It underwent revision in 1997 and then again in 2007.
From 1987 until 1995, the Jeep Wrangler YJ was sold. From 1997 until 2006, the Wrangler was repackaged in the TJ category, and from 2007 until now, the JK model is manufactured. The Wrangler JK is currently available in the X model, the Rocky Mountain Edition, the X-S model, the Sahara model the Rubicon package. The Kelley Blue Book recognized the Wrangler as one of the "Models to Best Hold Its Value" for three years - 1998, 1999, and 2003.
