This six to seven passenger crossover sports utility vehicle was manufactured by Ford Motor Co. in the U.S. It was first launched as the Ford Freestyle in 2005 before it was renamed to Taurus X in 2008. Ford Taurus X replaced the Taurus station wagon. In 2009, this sports utility vehicle was slotted amidst the Explorer and the Edge and paradoxically in direct rivalry to the Ford Flex 2009 model.
Ford Taurus X can be purchased in Canada, United States, South Korea, Puerto Rico, Guam and U.S. Virgin Islands. The production of this sports utility vehicle was stopped on February 27, 2009 when the 2011 crossover Ford Explorer was coined the successor to Ford Taurus X. The most current design of Ford Taurus X is somehow similar to that of the Ford Edge. It makes use of Ford’s corporate grille that features three horizontal, chrome bars that has a blue oval mounted on the center.
