Ford FreestarThe Ford Motor Company created the Ford Freestar minivan from 2004 through 2007. The Freestar was assembled in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. This minivan’s predecessor is the Ford Windstar, whose name was dropped to make all Ford cars’ names begin with the letter F. The Ford Freestar was sold in Canada, the United States, Mexico, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and the Netherlands.

The Freestar is supplied with a 3.9L Essex V6 engine, available only in the US, or a 4.2L Essex V6 engine as well as a four-speed AX4N automatic transmission. The minivan can seat seven passengers. Its wheel base is 120.8 inches. It is 201.0 inches in length and a height of 68.8 inches. The width varies in the Freestar models. Some are 76.4 inches wide and the others are 76.6 inches wide.

The Mercury Monterey, said to be the Freestar’s twin, came out at the same time. It was less expensive compared to the Freestar but both cars received poor reviews. Due to this, production of the Freestar and the Monterey was discontinued on November 17, 2006.
