British car manufacturer Aston Martin Lagonda Limited has a GT car named the Aston Martin DBS. There have been two generations of this vehicle, the first generation made available from 1967 - 1972. The DBS saw a revival with its second generation in 2007. The first generation of the DBS was featured as a James Bond car in the 1969 movie On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Meanwhile, the second generation also figured in two James Bond flicks, 2006's Casino Royale and the 2008 film Quantum of Solace.
The first generation of DBS cars came with a straight-6 engine. The DBS V6 was phased out in 1972 to give way to the DBS V8 and the Vantage. In 2007, the DBS was produced again, built on a VH platform and shred similarities, such as side screens, wheelbase, and roof with the Aston Martin DB9. The new DBS, though, measured wider and is lower than the DB9. The 2007 DBS also has a Bang & Olufsen sound system as an optional feature.
