Used Cars in Sacramento

Sacramento was founded in 1848 by John Sutter Jr. and Samuel Brannan. Even though it was the Spanish explorers who first saw the valley and christened the two rivers “Jesus Maria” and “Sacramento” respectively, the credit of the founding still goes to Sutter and Brannan. Prior to that, Native Americans had already inhabited Sacramento before the explorers or colonists arrived.

The California Gold Rush started in the land of the Sutters and trade started to develop. In the place where Sutter Sr. wanted to put up Sutterville, the city of Sacramento was founded. When the gold rush declined, Sacramento became the center for commercial agricultural industry. Today, it is a tourism hub which caters to over five million tourists annually.

Sacramento, California is a disarmingly attractive place despite its history. When here, do visit Old Sacramento. It is the old Western town which encompasses around ten blocks of two side streets with wooden planks. The tourist will be taken back in time when he walks the streets of picturesque buildings that used to be bar rooms during the gold rush days. Restaurants line up the place and the California State Museum is just nearby for a tour of old locomotives and cars. The Old Sacramento makes for a good walking tour, with the sound of the clapping of the heels on the wooden planks and the knowledge one will get from the visiting the place.

Sacramento City is more than just the Gold Rush or the State Capitol. It is a City with character and old legends that make it a city worth traveling to and discovering.
