Andrew Jackson will forever be part and parcel of the history of New Orleans. The two will always be somewhat synonymous to each other. The city is deep in history and culture along with its people. Its early settlers were a mix of African-Americans, Europeans and Native Americans. The result is a different way of life with the interracial relationships that many visitors find peculiar. New Orleans though is still like any average city in the United States. The culture just takes getting used to, but one will be able to learn and discover from it when he makes an effort.
New Orleans is famous for its music. Jazz music started here and many of the great jazz artists came from this city. Buddy Bolden, Elly Marshalls and Harry Connick Jr. are just some of the jazz musicians who came from New Orleans. Early musicians were very passionate about the music that they created that it spawned a life of its own and is now one of the most important aspects that makes New Orleans what it is today.
