The 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera S has the distinctive Porsche design of a sports car, yet it shows off new contours, along with precise details.

With a 100 mm longer wheelbase, a wider front track, and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), there is improved stability, and active roll stabilization.

Performance

The Carrera S has a six-cylinder engine mounted in the rear, with “boxer” engines behind the rear axle. It is powered by a new 3.8 liter engine, providing 400 hp, and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds. By pushing the optional “Sports Plus” button on the Sport Chrono Pack, you can cut that down to 4.1 seconds.

Interior

There is more interior space, both in the front and rear, yet maintaining that compact attribute of the sports car feel, and the overhangs are shorter, with a lower roof line, retaining that sporty and distinctive Porsche look.

The Carrera S has a leather interior, with sporty seats, climate control which is automatic, B-Xenon headlights, a deluxe Porsche Communication Management system, with satellite navigation and a 7″ color, touch screen. It offers MP3 connectivity, and fitted to the Porsche 911 cars are Porsche Vehicle Tracking Systems (VTS) security.

Exterior

The body of this beautiful car is made of aluminum-steel composite construction, which reduces the weight, creating greater aerodynamics, and the extended rear spoiler reduces the lift. The new electro-mechanical power steering, makes steering a breeze.

The modern look of the 20″ diameter alloy wheels, the wider front track, and the re-designed exterior mirrors which are mounted on the door, are not only aerodynamic features, but also draw the eye to its sporty look. The 911 cars’ fuel consumption and emissions are up to 16 percent lower than previous models, saving money, and contributing less to pollution.
