The powerful FXX provides breathtaking performance in every aspect. It has not been approved for road use, disqualifying it from any form of racing. The advent of the FXX is purely for R&D, research and development.

It is powered by a 6.3L, V12 engine, capable of producing 800 HP @ 8500 RPM. The aerodynamic design is unique in that it produces 40% higher downforce, which has been rarely achieved.

Between 2005 and 2007, only 30 of the FXX have been produced and only sold to previous Ferrari customers. The list includes the like of racing legend Michael Schumacher. Because it has been classified as being not street legal, owners have the option of storing the car at Ferrari facilities, which enables them to drive it on racetracks when they an urge to do just that.

The Ferrari FXX had once been considered the most expensive car at $1.6 million.
