Hurst Performance Vehicles is one of the most renowned and respected names in automobile history. With its Competition/PLUS shifter series, it’s not difficult to see how Hurst has gotten its reputation.
To kick off its Competition/PLUS series, Hurst unveiled the 2010 Hurst Competition Plus Challenger last July 1, 2009. This 2-door coupe modified muscle car boasts of a V8 front engine that displaces 6,059 cc. with a horsepower of 425 bhp at 6,200 rpm and torque of 420 lb-ft. at 4,800 rpm, and a 6-speed manual transmission. The base price for the Hurst Competition Plus Challenger is $61,14.
The new Challenger does not forget its roots as it also has Hurst’s traditional white round-ball shift knob, which can be replaced by an extra black shift knob (depending on your preference) that comes with the Challenger. The 2010 Hurst Competition Plus Challenger also features a Magnaflow stainless-steel exhaust, BF Goodrich KDW performance tires, an Eibach Suspension, and a K&N Air Filter. This daredevil muscle car is based on both the 6.1 SRT8 Hemi and the R/T 5.7 Hemi.
