Hurst Performance Vehicles is one of the most renowned and respected names in automobile history. With its Competition/PLUS shifter series, it’s not difficult to see how Hurst has gotten its reputation.
To kick off its Competition/PLUS series, Hurst unveiled the 2010 Hurst Competition Plus Challenger last July 1, 2009. This 2-door coupe modified muscle car boasts of a V8 front engine that displaces 6,059 cc. with a horsepower of 425 bhp at 6,200 rpm and torque of 420 lb-ft. at 4,800 rpm, and a 6-speed manual transmission. The base price for the Hurst Competition Plus Challenger is $61,14.
The new Challenger does not forget its roots as it also has Hurst’s traditional white round-ball shift knob, which can be replaced by an extra black shift knob (depending on your preference) that comes with the Challenger. The 2010 Hurst Competition Plus Challenger also features a Magnaflow stainless-steel exhaust, BF Goodrich KDW performance tires, an Eibach Suspension, and a K&N Air Filter. This daredevil muscle car is based on both the 6.1 SRT8 Hemi and the R/T 5.7 Hemi.

When I was born in 1965 my parents drove me home from the hospital in a 1965 Mustang convertible. In the past 46 years I have owned several Mustangs: a 66 (Concours show car), a 68 (Age 14, first car), a 73 Mach 1 (Q code), a 98, a 99 Saleen convert, and currently a 2010 GT. Even so, I think Dodge did a great job creating the Challenger. If I could have found a B5 blue Challenger I would be driving it. Love my Mustang, but would likely have bought the Challenger instead.
I think the color is really good. I like the hood scoop too. Is it functional??
I love the mustangs and the Camaro is pretty good but it’s impossable not to just love what the Challenger looks like.
Chrysler should really put more eggs in that basket and do more with that car. Make it less expensive so more of us and afford it and make it lighter.
American cars are the way to go. Not many people are collectiong 1967 Toyota or Datsuns.
dodge is the best and it will beat any car u bring up to it and the color is awesome and red looks so dumb on a challenger and srt will always beat rt because you can race a stock srt and beat a rt with 30 grand in it
well thats wad uo lol.. yuh guys have no life sittin wishing yuh had dizz or dat lol get real nd get your onw shidd
thats a cool car but the color is so ugly try red.
I’ve owned two Mustangs and would love to have another one, a new 2010. But I also would like to own the Hurst Challenger. It’s a great looking and performing car. Ford and Dodge hit the mark with the Mustang and the Challenger. But the Camaro… looks like it came out of a Japanese cartoon.
buy stock rt and put like 30 grand it will look way nicer and way more power
this car is better than any mustang
i hope that any mustang owners reading this will realize their not as awsome as they think because my 1990 Ford Probe GL has 250 horse 4-cylander compaired to the 2010 v-6 mustangs 220 hp and the 1990 Ford Probe GT has 400hp when the 2010 mustang gt has only 315 hp
i love dodges and i love this 1 execept the stolen the color from thomas the tank engine
