2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray Convertible

Chevrolet introduced the 2014 Stingray Coupe in October of 2013. Many wondered how long it would take a drop top version to hit the market.

Enter the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray Convertible, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in December.

The convertible is similar to the coupe other than the obvious 3 ply fabric top with sound proofing insulation and a glass rear window that assists in noise control. The top can be opened and closed while travelling at 30 mph.

Engine & Performance

The Corvette C7 Stingray Convertible comes in with a 6.2 liter, V8 that threshes out 455 horsepower with 460 lbs ft of torque.

You have the option to go either with a 7 speed manual transmission or a 6 speed automated manual.

When not engaging the cylinder deactivation technology, the 2014 Stingray convertible is capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds at a top speed of 180 mph.

Exterior

Losing the sexy roofline of the Stingray coupe makes the front and profile views ordinary. That said you did want an open air edition of this still incredible sports car.

Where the convertible makes up for what is lacking from the hard top side view is in the backend.

The 4 exhaust outlets in the lower center along with the re-styled taillights above will have the many drivers you pass on the highway in awe.
