BMW 315

The BMW 315 is a middle sized car manufactured in between the years 1934-1937.

The BMW 315 was built based on BMW 303 and the only changes compared to the BMW 303 are the BMW 315 featured a large engine with an increased bore size of 58 mm and the stroke size of about 94 mm. The BMW 315 was a huge market success and during its period a total of 9,765 units have been manufactured including the versions.

The BMW 315 featured a Straight-6 OHV engine with a capacity of 1490 cc. The engine delivered an output power of 34 bhp at 4000 rpm and the weight of the car is about 830 kg.

Versions:

BMW 315/1:
The BMW 315/1 was built based on BMW 315. It featured the same body work and the same engine of the BMW 315. The engine delivered an increased output power of 40 bhp at 4300 rpm and the weight has been reduced to 750 kg.

BMW 319 and 319/1:
The BMW 319 and 319/1 version has been launched in the year 1935. It featured a large engine with a capacity of 1911 cc and it delivered an output power of 45 bhp at 3750 rpm and latter it delivered an increased output power of 55 bhp at 4000 rpm.

BMW 329:
The BMW 329 version has been launched in the year 1937. It was manufactured as a convertible with two and four doors and it featured the same bodywork of BMW 326.
