Prior to that, Native Americans had already inhabited Sacramento before the explorers or colonists arrived.

The California Gold Rush started in the land of the Sutters and trade started to develop. In the place where Sutter Sr. wanted to put up Sutterville, the city of Sacramento was founded. When the gold rush declined, Sacramento became the center for commercial agricultural industry. Today, it is a tourism hub which caters to over five million tourists annually.

Sacramento, California is a disarmingly attractive place despite its history. When here, do visit Old Sacramento. It is the old Western town which encompasses around ten blocks of two side streets with wooden planks. The tourist will be taken back in time when he walks the streets of picturesque buildings that used to be bar rooms during the gold rush days. Restaurants line up the place and the California State Museum is just nearby for a tour of old locomotives and cars. The Old Sacramento makes for a good walking tour, with the sound of the clapping of the heels on the wooden planks and the knowledge one will get from the visiting the place.

Sacramento City is more than just the Gold Rush or the State Capitol. It is a City with character and old legends that make it a city worth traveling to and discovering.

Named after General Moses Cleaveland, Cleveland was the first settlement founded by the Conneticut Land Company of which the General was an investor of. Early on, population was low due to the amount being charged for the lots in the city. During the early 1800’s Cleveland became a market town where farmers traded and sold their crops and merchants sold their Eastern goods. Even with this, Cleveland still was not able to prosper as much due to the underdeveloped road networks. It was only during the late 19th century when the city became an important industrial city.

Cleveland was the first city to be lighted electronically in 1879 and boasts of the first traffic light ever made in August 1914. The city is also home to the Rock and Roll of Fame. The first coffee drip maker was invented by Vincent Marotta and the Life Savers Candy by Clarence Crain both from Cleveland City.

Mesa is a city located in Maricopa County in the state of Arizona and is a part of the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. Though the city has a large population, it is considered a suburb of the city of Phoenix. This is because large parts of the city are residential areas and majority of the population are commuters that work in the city of Phoenix. The city is also called a commuter town or a bedroom community because of this.

In spite of being a commuter town though, there are a couple of places that are worth going to in the city. HoHoKam Park for instance is a baseball park and stadium where the Chicago Cubs have been doing their spring training since 1979.

There is also the Mesa Art Center. The center is the largest performing arts and visual arts campus in the state of Arizona. Completed in 2005, it has four performance arts venue, five art galleries, fourteen performance and visual arts classrooms and studios, and a lot of different areas found both indoors and outdoors that can be used as a gathering areas and presentation spaces.

There is also an outdoor concert location called the Mesa Amphitheatre where one could enjoy concerts and performances from lots of different famous performing artists. The largest city in the state of Missouri, its land area is spread throughout four counties, namely Jackson, Clay, Cass, and Platte counties. It is also the anchor of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area that has a metropolitan area that spreads out through the state of Missouri and its neighbour the state of Kansas.

The City of Kansas in the state of Missouri is the location of many historic battles during the civil war. One of which is the battle of Westport which ended the confederate’s campaign in occupying the city of Kansas.

Kansas City is known for its contributions to the musical arts especially musical styles of jazz and blues. The city holds the annual Kansas City Blues and Jazz festival where top jazz musicians perform and attracts a large number of jazz fans and enthusiasts from all around the country.

There is also a large community of Irish living in the city. The Irish community has been around for a number of years and has established Irish establishments that are well respected and a staple in the city. The Browne’s Irish Market, the oldest Irish owned business establishment in America, can be found in the city and the Irish Museum and Cultural Center is the center of the Irish community.

Virginia Beach is an independent city located on the coast of the state of Virginia. As its namesake implies, its location allows it to have the longest pleasure beach in the world. Because of that, it is considered to be a resort city having hundreds of resorts, hotels, and restaurants along or near the coast and beaches.

With miles of beaches on its coast, it’s only natural that the city becomes a top tourist destination. For people who love history, there are about 18 places in the city that are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
