Audi has expanded its A3 line-up by introducing the latest 2014 S3 Sportback, which is a hot 5-door hatchback.
It is similar to the earlier 3-door S3, but Audi has added a dose of practicality and sense in this new five door offering.
The new S3 Sportback made its debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

Engine & Performance
The dimensions of the S3 Sportback can be deceptive, as far as power under the hood is concerned. Just like its 3-door sibling.
The S3 Sportback is equipped with an EA888 turbocharged 2.0 liter four cylinder engine that produces 300 horsepower @ 5500 rpm along with 280 lb ft of peak torque at 1800 rpm to 5500 rpm. This power is routed to all four wheel by Audi’s proprietary Quattro all wheel drive system.
The performance figures of S3 Sportback are impressive. The car can finish the 0-60 mph dash in five seconds. The max speed is electronically limited to 250 Km/h (154 mph).
Exterior
The design of new S3 Sportback is refined with the efficient use of Aluminum, which has led to a reduction in weight by 154 lbs (70 kgs) as compared to the previous model.
The S3 comes with the distinctive looking S package seen in previously launched models, which includes single-frame grille with aluminum finish and matte-platinum grey inserts.
Aluminum finish is visible and well placed areas of the car, including the side mirrors and horizontal double bars. The rear receives a newly designed bumper and new exhausts with 4 oval pipes.
The rear spoiler has been increased in size to generate additional downforce. The S3 Sportback is available in 14 different colors.
Interior
The sporty feel of the car flows in to the cabin as well. The interior includes signature S design elements. It is in sporty black with contrasting stitching and display colors.
There is no confirmation on whether the car will be introduced in the US market, but eventually it should make its way across the Pond.
