Engine

The base model will come with a twin-turbo V8 engine capable of generating 560 hp. Its top speed has been limited to 155 mph but on request, it can be lifted, this enables the RS7 to reach a top speed of 190 mph.

Despite the powerful engine, the RS 7 has a combined 24 mpg for city & highway, and can zip from 0 to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds. To optimize fuel consumption, Audi added a new eight-speed transmission. Its traction is backed up by the permanent all-wheel drive.

Performance

The RS7 uses a vented breaking system to save weight without sacrificing efficiency. On the road, the Audi gives an air similar to that of a heavy car with a firm grip even during difficult cornering situations.

The air suspension provides better driving control and accentuates its sporty like feel. The RS7 uses steel springs for the base version and can be integrated into the Audi drive select for an improved steering dynamic.

Exterior

The RS7 is available in 10 colors and two styling packages that include carbon elements. From a design perspective, the four door coupe uses signature Audi bumpers with the black protective grille with a honeycomb pattern.

The body uses 20% aluminum, while other parts used include high and ultra-high durability steel. The widened body and extensions resemble the previous styling like those found on the Audi Quattro. In the rear, the car manufacturer uses dual branch oval tailpipes.

Interior

The 2013 Audi RS7 features a luxurious interior with front bucket seats, bench seating in the rear, and side bolsters in a black leather. Audi used grey tones as the theme for the interior with chrome elements on the dashboard, side doors and steering wheel. Only the gauges stand out with their red needles.

The 2013 RS7 Sportback is large for a sports car but several design elements reveal its true nature. Using a 4 liter V8 engine and an all-wheel transmission makes it both fast and stable on the road, but the most notable aspect of the car is its optimized fuel consumption which has been a major focus by Audi.
