Aston Martin Rapide

After many years that Aston Martin has paved its way to stardom in the world of supercars, they unveil their first ever four door sedan, the Aston Martin Rapide. Aston Martin said that the car is in great proportion that when you look at it at any angle, the purity of the car makes the view right at different angles.

Performance

A handcrafted 6.0L V12 engine powers the Aston Martin Rapide. It delivers a total of 470 horsepower and a maximum torque of 443 lb fit at 5000 rpm. This engine is coupled to a fine tuned to an automatic transmission-the six-speed Touchtronic. The engine mated to this transmission causes the sedan to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.0 seconds. The maximum speed it can manage is 188 mph.

Exterior & Interior

Rapide is loyal to the concept of all Aston Martin cars. It features an upper and lower grill that is made of polished alloy. The headlight on the front is a bi-xenon single lens. The side glass is pillarless and it has 20” wheels that is uniquely designed. The LED indicators on the side are housed by side strakes. The controls on the dashboard are sophisticatedly designed such that the driver will have easy of access to all the information needed when driving.

The doors of Aston Martin are carefully crafted such that it exudes a sporting appearance. The muscular rear haunches and the low roof line add to its sporting stance. The wing mirrors are positioned such that the driver will have a maximum visibility on what was on its back. A Bluetooth microphone that is revised is situated on top of the driver’s head so that the voice of the driver is very clear when conversing with his passengers.

A new stylish front seat design is integrated in the sedan. It also had a heating and air conditioning on the rear part and can be controlled via rotary dial positioned between the front seats so that there is easy access. The passenger will enjoy an additional entertainment because there are two LCD screens located at the back of the front seat. Also, integrated into the boot compartment is a six DVD multi-changer and a standard BeSound Rapide audio system from the renowned Bang & Olufsen.

Price

Aston Martin Rapide is available on the car market at a price of $199,950.

The Competition

This supercar can be matched with luxury sedans like the Porsche Panamera, Jaguar XJ, and BMW 7-Series. If compared with the Panamera, Rapide is much better since Panamera is offered with either a V6 or V8 engine that can provide the power of 300 to 500bhp. While Jaguar XJ has a 5.0L V8 engine that generates a 385 hp to 510 hp power. The power generated by the engine used in a BMW 7-Series ranges from 245 hp to 407 hp. Though all of the cars are commendable rivals, Aston Martin Rapide has this feel that it is unique and dominant. The price itself describes the capability of this sedan car.
