Used Pontiac Trans Am

Pontiac Trans Am 150

The Pontiac Trans Am was introduced into the market as part of Firebird. The Firebird Trans Am was then known as an upscale variety of the Firebird, featuring upgraded engine horsepower, handling, and suspension. Minor aesthetic differences such as redesigned hood and wheels also set the Trans Am apart from the rest of the Firebird models. As the name Trans Am was already a registered trademark, GM had to pay the Sports Car Club of America $5 for every Trans Am car sold. From being an independent brand in 1969 up to the brand’s end in 2002, four generations of Trans Ams were produced. The platform that the Trans Am was built on was the F-body platform, which is the same platform as that of the Chevrolet Camaro’s.

Along with the Firebird, the nameplate of the Trans Am was retired in 2002. Its body, though, still saw action in the IROC Racing Series until 2006, when the series closed.

Used Volkswagen Beetle Classic

Volkswagen Beetle 150

The Volkswagen Beetle-Classic, a small reliable car for a typical family, was produced during the pre-war era. It was originally called Volkswagen Type 1, Kafer in German, but lovingly called Beetle by everyone else. It was the answer to Adolf Hitler’s decree for a mass-based car, with Ferdinance Porsche as designer. After the war, British army officer Major Ivan Hirst was tasked to assume control of the heavily shelled factory, and was instrumental in the British military’s purchase of 20,000 Beetle units. More car units rolled off the Volkswagen assembly lines in the succeeding years. The postwar Beetle still incorporated the Berlin-built Kübelwagen chassis fitted into its sedan bodywork.

There have been so many variations done on the postwar Beetle. People who watched “Herbie the Love Bug” movie were delighted with the 1963 Volkswagen Beetle deluxe sedan. The classic Volkswagen Beetle of the 1970s and earlier models, if they may still be found, are nowadays beautifully restored and showcased to avid car enthusiasts in international motor shows. With the arrival in the marketplace in 1998 of the new Beetle, Volkswagen car aficionados’ hearts have excitedly been thumping again.

Used Volkswagen Bus

Volkswagen Bus 150

The Type 2 Volkswagen Bus is a minivan that was utilized as a postwar vehicle. It is the predecessor of the highly popular family van called the Kombi (later on spelled “Combi”). While the 1950 VW Type 2 bus was windowless, the Kombi was an improved version with windows and optional rear seats, making it more suited for transporting people and cargo. The next enhanced vehicle was the Microbus, which had better specifications and features.

One may regard the Type 2 Volkswagen Bus as a huge boxy body on a Beetle chassis. It utilized the Beetle’s air-cooled, rear-mounted four-cylinder engine. Though not that powerful performance-wise,the immense popularity of the Volkswagen Type 2 van made it fit to be classified as an icon of the 1950s and 1960s era. Carmakers from America and Europe have replicated it. It’s been featured in films, and is a vehicle that some restorers or auto connoisseurs love to customize.

Estimated Price Range for Used Volkswagen Bus: $1,000-$68,000
Estimated MPG for Volkswagen Bus: avg 25
