Used Infiniti I30

Infiniti I30 150

The Infiniti I30 is the first generation in the I series of mid-size cars from Nissan Motors’ luxury car division, releasing its initial version in 1996. The I30 sported a 3.0L VQ30DE V6 engine, producing 190 hp (142 kW). This engine was a clone from the Nissan Maxima. Hence, the Infiniti I30 is considered as the first rebadged North American Nissan.

The I30 became Infiniti’s bestseller, proving itself to be a worthy replacement for the car maker’s aging rear-wheel drive J30 sedan. Notably, the I30 was more aggressive looking and sportier than the J model, as well as secure, fast and controllable at the edge. Several revisions were made on the I30 during the mid and late 1990s, including a major styling update in 1998. For that year, side impact airbags were added and the Bose audio system was improved. More aggressive suspension tuning, BBS wheels and a spoiler were also included in the Infiniti I30 touring model.

Used Infiniti I35

Infiniti I35 150

The I35 is the second generation in the I Series of Infiniti, the luxury car division of Nissan Motors. The variant was introduced in 2001 when the Infiniti I30 received a major overhaul and was renamed as the I35. The new nameplate reflected the increase in engine displacement from 3.0L to 3.5L.

Its VQ35DE V6 engine produced 255 hp (190 kW). Styling likewise received an update including the minor interior revisions. Other upgrades to the Infiniti I35 were larger brakes, new optional equipment, standard stability control and retuned suspension system. All these improvements enabled Infiniti to keep the I30 a competitive sports sedan, matching market paces with the BMW 5-Series and MBZ E-class. The Infiniti I35 also drew its strength from its smoother handling, security of its front-wheel drive, simplicity of maintenance and quality of assembly. The 2004 model was the last production year of the I35 with the introduction of its successor the Infiniti M.

Infiniti J30 150

The Infiniti J30, a rear-wheel drive luxury car, was launched in the 1993 model year as a mid-size sedan pitted against Lexus GS. A four-door sedan in a body style, it featured a rounded styling untypical of its competitors in the near-luxury car market segment. The J30 was powered by a 3.0L VG30DE V6 engine that it shared with the 300ZX. Its motor is capable of producing 210 hp and 192 lb•ft (260 N•m) of torque.

The J30 runs on four-speed automatic transmission. Its curb weight is 3,580 lb and fuel capacity at 19 US gal (72L). A touring model of the Infiniti J30 was also produced featuring a rear spoiler, a stiffer suspension, BBS style alloy wheels and four-wheel steering. Even as it shares the Y32 Chassis with the Nissan Cedric/Gloria, it was essentially a rebadged version of the Nissan Leopard for the Japanese market, where it was offered with both the VG30DE and VH41DE V8 engines.

Used Infiniti Q45

Infiniti Q45 150

The Infiniti Q45, a full-size luxury car, served as the flagship of Nissan’s luxury car division from 1990 to 2006. A rear-wheel drive sedan, it is powered by a V8 engine, its sole powertrain. The original Q45 was cloned from the Nissan President marquee sold in the Japanese market, but later versions were based on Nissan Cima.

The first Q45 has an impressive acceleration time of 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds drawn from its high-output 4.5L V8 engine with a rating of 278 hp (207 kW) and torque of 292 lb•ft (396 N•m). The second-generation Q45 has a smaller 4.1L VH41DE engine that churned power of 266 hp (199 kW) and acceleration of 0-60 in 7.5 seconds. This scaling down didn’t help sales despite further tuning of the vehicle for comfort when the Q45 was introduced in 1997. A complete redesign of the Infiniti Q45 was undertaken in 2002 including a new 340 hp (235kW) 4.5L VK45 V8 engine, but it too failed to capture added market share and the line was eventually terminated to give way for the more successful Infiniti M series.
