Used Bentley Brooklands

Bentley Brooklands 150

The Bentley Motors division of Volkswagen Motors developed and manufactured a replacement to the Bentley Mulsanne and Bentley Eight models in 1992. This replacement was a luxury car that is full-sized called the Bentley Brooklands. The Brooklands price slotted it below the Turbo R in the Bentley line up, although both cars share similar style, underpinnings and an engine – a Rolls-Royce 6.75-litre engine.

The Turbo R’s engine though, was a bit modified in the sense that it had a turbocharger. Along with other Rolls-Royce vehicles in the 1980s through the early 1990s, the Brooklands had a design theme that was angular. It shared exterior design themes with most Bentley cars, such as the Bentley waterfall grille, dual headlights with wrap-around parking lights, a descending boot lid and chrome B-pillars. Although the Brooklands was discontinued after the 1997 model year, a revival took place in 2008, when the Bentley Brooklands CoupĂ© was introduced. This hand-made luxury car is hand-assembled, wood veneer, and leather hide.

Used Bentley Turbo R

Bentley Turbo R 150

British car manufacturer Bentley Motors Limited produced a high performance car model called the Bentley Turbo R. The first Turbo Rs were introduced in 1985. The Turbo R’s chassis was something it shared with the Mulsanne car. Its turbocharged engine, meanwhile, was something that it inherited from the Mulsanne Turbo. There was a slight modification with the engine, however, as a Bosch MK-Motronic fuel injection was added to the Turbo R’s V8 engine, producing additional torque.

The Turbo R also included features that were not seen in other Bentley cars, such as wider tires, alloy wheels, and a retuned suspension. These new features transformed the Turbo R into a real performer. Anti-roll bars and side-to-side movement were only some of the improvements in the Turbo R. The Bentley Turbo R was priced at $145,000. The Turbo R was called by Motor Trend Magazine as “the first Bentley in decades deserving of the famous name.” More than 7,000 Turbo R cars were produced from 1985 until it was discontinued in 1997.
