Audi RS2 Avant

The Audi RS2 Avant is a high performance limited edition car manufactured by the Audi in between the years 1994-1996.

The RS2 was built based on 1980s Audi’s Avant. It featured a 2.2L five cylinder 20 valve turbocharged engine that delivered an output power of 311 bhp at 6,500 rpm. The RS2 reaches the speed of 62 mph in 4.8 seconds and the top speed is about 262 mph. It reaches the speed of 30 mph in just 1.5 seconds which is also faster than McLaren F1.

Later the engine was modified which included the KKK turbocharger, fuel injectors, induction system, camshaft and exhaust system. Also the car consisted of 17 inch wheels which are wrapped with Dunlop tyres, brakes that featured Brembo calipers, leather seats, wooden interiors and three spoke steering wheel.

A total of 2200 RS2 units have been manufactured where 180 units are right hand drive.

Audi Quattro

The Audi Quattro is a rally car manufactured by the Audi in between the years 1980-1991. The Quattro was designed by Jorg Bensinger and it was first displayed at the Geneva Motor Show in the year 1980.

Quattro in European market:
The European versions consisted of a four wheel drive system with 2.1L I5 SOHC engine with an engine capacity of 2144 cc. The engine delivered an output power of 197 bhp and 285 N-m torque at 3500 and it reaches the speed of 60 mph in 7.1 sec and the top speed is about 137 mph.

In the year 1985 several modifications have been done to the Quattro which included the face lift, headlights and front grille. In the year 1987, a new 2.2L I5 DOHC 20V engine has been used with a capacity of 2226 cc. it delivers an output power of 217 bhp and the top speed is about 143 mph.

Quattro in North American market:
The Quattro was sold in the North America in the year 1983 where 664 units have been sold. The cars in North America featured a 2.1L I5 SOHC 10V engine with an engine capacity of 2144cc and deliver an output power of 160 hp. These cars featured air conditioning, Anti-lock Braking System and leather interiors.

Motorsport Versions:

A1 and A2
This version was launched in the year 1980 and it featured a large body and the engine delivers an output power of 300 bhp and it also won the World Championship rally in the year 1981. The A1 made its debut in the year1983 and was victorious at Rally Portugal and Swedish Rally and the A2 has won eight world rallies.

Sport Quattro
The Sport Quattro was launched in the year 1984; it featured a 2.1L 20V DOHC engine with a capacity of 2133 cc that delivered an output power of 302 bhp. The car featured wider wheels and shorter wheelbase and a total of 224 units have been manufactured in this version.

Sport Quattro S1
The Sport Quattro version has been launched in the year 1984, and it consisted of a 5-cylinder engine with a capacity of 2110 cc that delivered an output power of 470 bhp, it reaches the speed of 62 mph in 3.1 seconds.

Audi Coupe Quattro

The Audi Coupe quattro was manufactured by the Audi in between the years 1984-1988.

The car was built based on Audi Coupe GT and it consisted of large bumpers, along with turn signals, spotlights, rear spoiler from Quattro, and plastic covers. It featured a 2.2L I5 engine with a capacity of 2226 cc along with five speed manual transmission. The car delivers an output power of 134 bhp at 5700 rpm and 186 Nm torque at 3500 rpm. It reaches the speed of 62 mph in 9.0 seconds and the top speed is about 125.5 mph.

The car features LED displays, dual exhaust tips, rear side windows and rear windscreen. The wheels consisted of aluminum alloy and steel rims and are equipped with disc brakes on all the wheels.

Audi Coupe GT

The Audi Coupe GT is manufactured by the Audi in between the years 1980-1987.

The body of the Coupe GT looks similar to Audi Quattro, but the changes compared to Quattro are 1.8 liter four cylinder engine with a capacity of 1781 cc, 1.9 liter petrol engine with a capacity of 1921 cc, 2.0 liter fuel injected five cylinder engine with a capacity of 1994 cc, 2.1 liter engine with a capacity of 2144 cc and 2.2 liter engine with a capacity of 2226 cc.

Audi Coupe GT 480

In the year 1984 four wheel drive was available optionally with 2.2 liter engine. A total of 174,687 units of Audi Coupe GT have been manufactured and it was a huge success for the Audi.

Audi A4 (B8)

The Audi A4 B8 version was launched in the year 2008 and its production continues to the present day.

The B8 version is the predecessor of B7 and its length is 4.6 inches more and its weight is 10% less compared to the B7. The car provides a good balance and gives a good driving experience.

The optional features in the car are adaptive cruise control, adaptive headlights, navigation system and parking system with front and rear cameras. The luggage space is of 480 liters in the salon and 490 liters in the Avant.

The engines used in the B8 are of advanced technology, the petrol engines make use of fuel stratified injection and the diesel engines makes use of common rail direct fuel injection. The engines consist of six speed manual and tiptronic automatic, seven speed S tronic and eight speed multitronic transmissions.

The petrol engines used in the B8 are:

1.8 TFSI engine
It consists of six speed manual transmission, delivers an output power of 118 bhp and 230 N-m torque at 3650 rpm. It reaches the speed of 62 mph in 10.5 seconds and the top speed is 130 mph.

1.8 TFSI engine
It consists of eight speed multitronic transmission, delivers an output power of 158 bhp at 6200 rpm and 250 N-m torque at 4500 rpm. It reaches the speed of 62 mph in 8.6 seconds and the top speed is 140 mph.

2.0 TFSI engine
It consists of eight speed multitronic transmission, delivers an output power of 177 bhp at 6000 rpm and 320 N-m torque at 3900 rpm. It reaches the speed of 62 mph in 8.2 seconds and the top speed is 147 mph.

3.2 V6 FSI engine
It consists of six speed tiptronic transmission, delivers an output power of 261 bhp at 6000 rpm and 350 N-m torque at 5000 rpm. It reaches the speed of 62 mph in 6.4 seconds and the top speed is 155 mph.

The diesel engines used in the B8 are:

2.0 TDI engine
It consists of six speed manual transmission, delivers an output power of 118 bhp and 290 N-m torque at 2500 rpm. It reaches the speed of 62 mph in 10.7 seconds and the top speed is 127 mph.

2.7 V6 TDI engine
It consists of eight speed multitronic transmission, delivers an output power of 187 bhp at 4400 rpm and 400 N-m torque at 3250 rpm. It reaches the speed of 62 mph in 7.7 seconds and the top speed is 140 mph.

3.0 V6 TDI engine
It consists of six speed tiptronic automatic transmission, delivers an output power of 237 bhp at 4400 rpm and 500 N-m torque at 3000 rpm. It reaches the speed of 62 mph in 6.2 seconds and the top speed is 155 mph.
