BMW Z1

The BMW Z1 is a high performance roadster manufactured in between the years 1989-1991.

The BMW Z1 was first displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the year 1987 and the sales began in the year 1989. A total of 8,000 BMW Z1’s have been manufactured in between the years 1989-1991, where 6,443 units have been sold in Germany and the rest of them were sold in North America and Italy.

The body of the BMW Z1 features removable panels, undertray, zinc welded seams and dropped doors. The door goes down instead of opening upwards or outwards.

The BMW Z1 features six cylinder-incline engines with a capacity of 2494 cc. The bore measures 84 mm and the stroke measures 75 mm. The engine delivers an output power of 168 bhp at 5800 rpm and 161 lb-ft torque at 4300 rpm. The BMW Z1 reaches the speed of 60 mph in 9.0 seconds and the top speed is about 137 mph. The BMW Z1 features five speed manual transmission and the gear shifts can be performed easily at higher speeds.
