Ford Motor Co.’s Lincoln division produced the Lincoln Continental automobile. This automobile, which was succeeded by the Lincoln Town Car, is a distinctively styled luxury car. Its first model was developed as one-off personal vehicle of Edsel Ford. Eugene T. Gregorie allegedly sketched the design of this automobile in an hour.

Production of the Lincoln Continental was suspended after the Pearl Harbor attack. The features of this car include dual front airbags, roomy interior and anti-lock brakes. For most of this model’s lifetime, the Continental nameplate pertained to the 4-door flagship of Lincoln. In the year 1981, its reign ended when the Lincoln Town Car took over. The first generation of this model can be recognized as a channeled Zephyr.

All Lincoln Continental models that were made after 1958 were assembled at the Wixom Assembly Plant of Ford and the last model rolled off the construction line on the 26th of July 2002.

This mid-size sedan is based on the DEW98 platform of Ford that was shared with the Ford Thunderbird and the Jaguar S-Type. Production of the Lincoln LS starts from 1999 up to 2006. Its versions were basically coined as LS8 and LS6, depending on the choice of engine. On the other hand, those terms were replaced with “LS V8” and “LS V6” after the Lexus division of Toyota became concerned regarding the possibility for naming mix-up with its Lexus LS.

Lincoln produced the Lincoln Mark series of personal luxury cars from 1956 until 1998. Being offered in seven series, the Lincoln Mark is being offered as a two-door personal luxury coupe during its running period except for the model year 1980 until 1983 when the Lincoln Mark VI was offered to the public as a four-door sedan.

Part of the Lincoln Mark series is the Continental Mark II, Continental Mark IV, Continental Mark V, Continental Mark VI, Continental Mark VII and the Continental Mark VIII. Special edition Lincoln Mark series was introduced with color, interior and trim choices by popular fashion designers.

To honor a dying breed, a “Collector’s Series” edition has been offered by Lincoln for the 1979 model Mark V and Lincoln Continental sedan. The Lincoln Mark series was downsized in 1984. And as it possess in the mid 1970s, the Lincoln Mark series shared a manifesto with the Ford Thunderbird. Although the Lincoln Mark VII featured considerably unusual styling, the similarity to the Thunderbird is quite obvious.

The Subaru Baja is a car-based crew-cab pick-up truck. With car-based means that Subaru wanted to market a utility vehicle minus the harsh ride and poor fuel efficiency of a truck. The base engine produces 165 horsepower at 5,600 RPM. The turbo-charged version generates 210 horsepower. The 5-speed manual driving mileage is at 20/26 mpg city/highway.

The 5-seater, 4-door SUV comes in an array of trims, from the base 2.5X, 2.5X Premium, 2.5X L. L. Bean, and the turbo-powered 2.5 XT, and 2.5XT Limited. The ride is smoothened out by a MacPherson-type suspension at the front and a double-wishbone system at the rear.
