The Jeep marque of Chrysler has a compact SUV in its line up of automobiles, called the Jeep Liberty. Outside of the United States and North American markets, it is branded as the Jeep Cherokee. Inspired by two Chrysler concept cars, the Dakar and Jeepster, the Jeep Liberty was introduced for the 2002 model year. The Liberty’s cost is between Jeep Wrangler and the Jeep Grand Cherokee. This vehicle, which was nominated in 2002 for the North American Truck of the Year award started as a replacement line for the Jeep Cherokee, which was discontinued.

The Liberty was introduced with three trim levels – the base “Sport” trim, the top end “Limited” trim, and “Renegade,” which is more sporty and rugged. In 2007, the Renegade trim was discontinued, as marketing for the Liberty became more focused on the urban market, and it was replaced with the Latitude trim. Two-wheel drives and four-wheel drives are available for the Jeep Liberty.

Jeep Renegade for Sale

The Jeep Renegade currently is a concept car under the Jeep marque of Chrysler Motors. Mechanical features of the Renegade include an advanced propulsion system containing a 40-mile lithium-ion battery pack. For travel beyond 40 miles, a range extender in the form of a 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder BLUETEC diesel engine is available. The Jeep Renegade concept car has a 400-mile range.

The BLUETEC engine also gives the car an additional 115 horsepower, and is very environment friendly. The exteriors of the Renegade are also very environmental. Its design has large wheel openings that flare, tires that are oversized, and a speedster windshield that has a cut-down design. The interior design is based on sustainability, which takes into consideration the proportion of energy needed to build and ship the car and the environmental effects of the processes. Environmentally responsible materials were chosen so that they can be recycled when the car ‘s life ends.

Jeep Wagoneer for Sale

The Jeep Wagoneer, available from 1963 until 1991, was one of the most enduring brands of vehicles. This sport utility vehicle (SUV) was first made by Willys Motors, which at that time, had a name change to Kaiser Jeep Corporation. The first batch of Wagoneers used Willys’ 140 hp “Tornado” SOHC 3.8 L inline six-cylinder engine. The fuel efficiency of the engine took a back seat as cooling concerns were the owner’s main problems.

A lower-compression 133 hp version of the engine was introduced in 1964. When American Motors Company acquired Jeep, engine noise, vibration and engine harshness were the components that were prioritized by AMC for improvement. The Wagoneer continued its popularity when Chrysler acquired Jeep in 1987, with redesigning of taillamps, grille, and instrument panel was done. The Lincoln Aviator was produced by the Lincoln luxury division of Ford Motor Company as a mid-size SUV. This model is only available with a 4.6 L Double Overhead Camshaft V8 gasoline engine and is much like the Navigator.
