From 1994 until 2003, British luxury automobile manufacturer made the Aston Martin DB7. This grand tourer was available in two types, a coupé and a convertible. The DB7’s debut happened in 1993 at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland. The DB7, which features 6 cylinders, was marketed as an “entry-level” model. The DB7 was prolifically produced by Aston Martin, with over 7,000 built, making it the most produced Aston Martin model.

The DB7 was joint effort in design by Ian Callum and Keith Helfet. DB7s were built in Aston Martin’s plant in Kidlington. The DB7 convertible, the Volante, was launched in 1996 in Detorit’s North American International Auto Show. Both convertible and coupé feature a supercharged straight-6 engine. The costs of the DB7 were $140,000 for the Coupé and $150,000 for the Volante. When the Aston Martin Vantage was launched, sales of the DB7 declined, despite its supercharged engine. Production ended in 1999, although special edition DB7s, such as Keswick Limited Edition and the 2003 Anniversary Edition were still manufactured.

In 2004, British luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin launched a grand tourer named the Aston Martin DB9. The name DB stands for David Brown, the owner of the car company. The DB9 was initially designed Ian Callum, but he did not finish it. In the end, his successor, Henrik Fisker, completed the design and replaced the discontinued Aston Martin DB7, which ran for 10 years.

British television car show tagged the DB9 as “too cool” for the wall, and a separate category was made for it, “DB9 Super cool Fridge.” Coupé and convertible (also known as “Volante”) types are available for the DB9, and produces 470 bhp power from a 6.0L V12 engine. A “Sports Pack” was introduced for the DB9 by Aston Martin. This pack includes an increase in its structural stiffness, lighter wheels made of aluminum alloy and measuring 19 inches, and lowered ride height. Revisions were made in the 2008 DB9 coupé and Volante. A more powerful engine was introduced, and adjustments in the centre console were made.

British car manufacturer Aston Martin Lagonda Limited has a GT car named the Aston Martin DBS. There have been two generations of this vehicle, the first generation made available from 1967 – 1972. The DBS saw a revival with its second generation in 2007. The first generation of the DBS was featured as a James Bond car in the 1969 movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. Meanwhile, the second generation also figured in two James Bond flicks, 2006’s Casino Royale and the 2008 film Quantum of Solace.

The first generation of DBS cars came with a straight-6 engine. The DBS V6 was phased out in 1972 to give way to the DBS V8 and the Vantage. In 2007, the DBS was produced again, built on a VH platform and shred similarities, such as side screens, wheelbase, and roof with the Aston Martin DB9. The new DBS, though, measured wider and is lower than the DB9. The 2007 DBS also has a Bang & Olufsen sound system as an optional feature.

It was Ian Callum who designed British car maker’s flagship vehicle, the Aston Martin Vanquish. This grand tourer was introduced in 2001. This Aston Martin car came into public prominence when it was featured in the film Die another Day, a James Bond movie. This Edition also featured a stick-shift manual transmission.
